Resisting treason is loving America. |
Any Fed who supports Trump's vision for America should have resigned out of respect for Lord DOGE |
Thanks Penzey’s! Nothing says keeping America alive quite like 1,000,026 + individual spice packets floating around DC land fills. |
Will be going to the store near me this weekend now! Happy to support a company that shares my values! |
Taco Bell goes through upwards of 8.2 billion sauce packets in the U.S. each year. |

They are abusing customer trust to send this garbage to non-customers also: https://www.axios.com/local/washington-dc/2025/01/14/penzeys-spices-resist-seasoning-trump-inauguration
If you give Penzey's as a gift, you are a bad friend. |

This is America. Why are some of you Republicans upset by a business owner exercising his freedom of speech while giving out free product samples?
Maybe you'd rather Elon gave you a free EV. |
I expect more from a small company pushing liberal values than I do from PepsiCo’s global corporation. |
| I love it! |
Reviewing the posts in this thread do not lean to that message. People seem to think Penzey’s are America hating liberal business owners with zero regard for the environment who don’t understand political polarity in either direction is the quickest way to kill a spice business. Nobody even mentioned their right to free speech besides you though. EV’s explode, nobody should want one. |
| I did! I'm thrilled. |
You are correct that Penzys has every right to drive himself into bankruptcy by alienating so many potential customers. That aside, for those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s and into the 2010s, we lived in a time when businesses were apolitical and find Penzy's strange and peculiar. And, of course, in the last decades many businesses were under enormous pressure from people like you and the progressive left to espouse "correct" views, so it's a fairly hypocritical stance to be taking. |
PP. I've been a Penzey's customer for 30 years and I'm not sure his marketing is on track but there's no end to "corporate speech" and what the truly wealthy are doing to interfere in governance. So I think it's ridiculous to get all upset about a little guy using his business to express himself. As far as I recall, things started getting ugly with the "won't bake wedding cakes for people whose marriages I disagree with" court cases. Take the spice out of the package and it's just spice. Mail ordering any spices is environmentally destructive anyway. Unless you're growing them in your backyard, you're already at the end of a carbon footprint that isn't necessary. |
Yet you and Penney's never resisted Biden and his merry band. |
How wrong you are, he took a stand and basically told those who disagreed he did not need their business. Stupid move for a business owner over our divisive political situation in this country. He has lost customers who will never come back and he will continue to have to close stores, as he just did in my local area. Tough luck, keep you social issues out of my kitchen and we can both be happy. Otherwise I will laugh as your business continues to fall. |
