Do you mind gifts from Costco?

Unless it says Kirkland Signature or Costco on it, how would I know? A Keurig machine is a Keurig machine!

My Costco had Lindt truffles and Sugarfina gift boxes. Both I'd be more than happy to receive.

I tried the bequet caramels. To soft for me, but I am partial to family made ones.

There is something nice about getting a gift basket or something that you do not recognize and one that makes you wonder where it was from.

This is an interesting perspective, but I wonder how widespread it is. It never occurred to me to find a gift more magical because I didn’t know its origin.

I got my son an iPad at Costco. We got my dad an Apple Watch at Costco for Christmas. And I got my college aged daughter electric hand warmers from Costco for her stocking.

Those sanders sea salt chocolate covered caramels are so good. I don’t think I’ve tried the other ones.

I agree with PP that if you got your mom one of the random gift boxes from Costco, that feels a little lame and impersonal — like what you get your co-workers or neighbors. Unless it was something like a tea themed basked and your mom is crazy about tea.

My DH got my engagement ring at Costco. And the cash back from paid for a couple years of our membership. Nice quality diamond with platinum band.

So I am definitely a fan of Costco. I think the chocolate issue is that Costco isn’t really known for quality chocolate. It is a pretty generic gift. If you’re going to give sweets I’d get something from a local bakery or fine chocolatier.

I am not sure why anyone would be a snob and be anti Costco. The clearance stuff is especially sought after by the employees but they frequently mark down what they have and they have the best return policy and the best sales. And there is nothing more than a rich person loves that to save money every rich person I know has loved to be saved money and done anything they can't to save money. Sorry for the typos up voice to phone

There’s a specific % of Costco card members who are millionaires. It’s high too

Costco's core customer is well-educated and affluent. It's particularly popular among the well-educated and affluent in places like Silicon Valley.

Ha! I was first introduced to Costco in HS when staying w a boarding school friend whose very wealthy father was HS legacy, legacy double-HYP, and joined a very major Silicon Valley tech company when the stock price was just pennies. Makes sense that early on it would appeal to rich, practical nerds with storage space who didn’t care about appearances!

The Celtic Sea Salt ones in the green wrapper? Those are excellent.

I will try that tomorrow! Thx!

That hot dog is the best, though.

Costco is lowbrow and vulgar.

Yeah, for me growing up Costco would be too expensive!

I live close to a Costco so I might go everyday and I'm not alone I see the same people every time I go and they are customers so what attracts them is the food mostly old people though
