Do you mind gifts from Costco?

My MIL was upset my BIL and kids brought her items from Costco.

So ungrateful. I don’t mind them. Chocolate is chocolate

I don’t mind gifts from Costco. However, chocolate is not chocolate.

Good chocolate is worth it. Bad chocolate should be thrown out uneaten.

The depths of petty nonsense people are posting to hate on their ILs is amazing. If I had a nickel for every post in the last week...

Happy Holidays! Tis the Season!

I've never bought anyone a gift from Costco. Different class/wealth circles, I suspect.

Yeah, you’re a low class striver desperately trying to fit in with the upper class people and you think this is the shit that matters.

What do you care about your MIL and her beef with your BIL?

I have, and I am probably 1%. I got a gift from costco this year too. I was thrilled with it.

I don't get why someone would be upset about that. Costco sells diamonds, dysons and PS5s. Assuming someone didn't buy kirkland toilet paper and a hotdog as a gift, costco has tons of great stuff.

I don't like gifts from Costco but I gave plenty of gifts from Costco this year.

What’s funny about that?

Yeah, I don't get what's funny either.

I don't mind Costco gifts in principle, but I wouldn't want chocolate from there. If you're going to get me chocolate I want it from one of the local amazing chocolatiers in my city or your city.

Nothing wrong with it per se, but Costco gifts often get thrown out by me. If I get ten boxes of chocolates at xmas, I can't eat them all - so I will toss some. The Costco is going to be at the top of the toss list.

My mom - lots of money - has the habit of buying me junky clothing stuff at Costco for Christmas, because it is "easy" and she thinks it's Costco so it's decent quality. I agree stuff at Costco is pretty good quality, but I don't want Costco underwear and Costco pajamas. It's the most generically bland stuff ever. So also usually gets tossed or donated.
