Biden pardons kids for cash criminal judge

Yes, a terrible pardon. I totally agree.

But wah wah wah, EVERY pardon Trump made was far worse. Far, far, far worse.

And Trump is going to pardon all the January 6 insurrectionists who broke into our nation's capital and caused the injuries and deaths of many police officers guarding the building. That's on Day 1. How many other crooks and vile human beings do you think he's going to pardon before the end of his term?

There is no comparison between the two men.

Trying to “whataboutTrump” the moral depravity of what Biden has done shows that your moral compass is as shallow as your party identification.

In all seriousness, as a Harris voter, can you name a person Trump pardoned that hurt as many children as the cash-for-kids judge or the guy with the thousands of images of child pornography? I would genuinely like to know, because these actions of Biden have been making me sick to my stomach, and I don’t know of a pardon from Trump where the person pardoned hurt as many children as these Biden ones did.

It boggles my mind because when I was browsing headlines earlier today, I saw stuff like "Biden commutes the sentences of non-violent criminals in the biggest one-day pardon ever" or something. Making it sound like he was doing something really good for people with minor infractions. Talk about fake effing news. Technically true but twisted beyond all imagination.

This is what comes up on NYT search. They make him sound like a saint!!!

Biden Commutes the Sentences of 1,500 Americans, a Record for One Day

Most of those being granted clemency had been placed in home confinement during the pandemic. Some Republicans have tried to push legislation that would have forced those people to return to prison.

This - and the pardon of the guy with child pornography - is just utterly sickening. Trust the WaPo not to mention these horrible people.

Thanks, Joe Biden. You are disgusting.

I understand the guy with the child pornography material was sent back to China in a prison swap for Americans. Is that not true?

He RUINED people's lives! Sold them to a for profit prison for money. When are we going to stop making excuses for these people? They're no better than common street criminals, and should be treated as harshly if not worse. THIS kind of crime is destroying the social contract.

The lack of media honesty and transparency is appalling. I feel like in this election the mainstream media just gave up on any appearance of impartiality.

Surely it is worth reporting that Biden pardoned the cash-for-kids judge and a Chinese national with thousands of images of child porn. I can’t think of a prior presidential pardon that has been as appalling from any prior president. It is literally sickening, and yet absent from major media reporting.

Yes, here’s the facts.

“ Jin . the one with child pornography had been part of a widely reported prisoner swap with China that was announced by the U.S. on Nov. 27. In exchange for Jin and two other Chinese nationals, three Americans — John Leung, Kai Li and Mark Swidan — were released to the U.S. following months of diplomatic efforts, the New York Times reported. Leung had been imprisoned in China for three years, Li for eight years, and Swidan for more than 10 years.”

The Americans that were returned to us were two with trumped up charges and I think one on drug charges. China can have the child pornography guy back. He did not receive clemency, he was not part of the pardons given.

I don’t love it, but this isn’t the huge miscarriage of justice the “Harris Voters” posting here are making it out to be.
