I Think I Was Followed by Security at Target

Ahahaha, he failed his training shadowing. Poor guy. They mass hire around the holidays and try to train them quickly.

I dated someone who was a Sr. Loss Prevention Specialist at Target. Newbies are assigned a random person in Target to follow to practice their techniques. The footage is then reviewed with their training supervisor to go over where they messed up and what they need to do to change. That guy was definitely in for a long session with his supervisor.

He was bored op. There’s not much more to it. He probably wanted to play on his phone away from managers.

Target’s stock plummeted because Target forecast a weak holiday buying season.

Americans aren’t buying anything with the new administration coming in. He will wreck the economy and destroy America so people are hunkering down.

It's almost like a game to see how you people can insult Trump in some way, no matter the topic.

I worked at Target and I remember during the hiring application it asked if I was over 40. I wasn't at that time but I remember it and thought it was ageist. People on Durban mom are so ageist.

As for security there was one guy who was in his twenties and he would watch all the employees more than the customers.

If employees want to follow me about, I don't mind, OP. It's a good way for them to get paid doing nothing

Seriously. My dad owned a small retail shop in NYC and he would always tell me it was the clean-cut men in business suits who were most likely to shoplift. Nobody ever suspected them because they looked “rich.”

Your dad is delusional. I see women shoplifting all the time. They know they won’t get arrested or caught they are allowed to just fill their arms with stuff and walk out the door while employees do nothing. Women of all ages, sizes, colors, etc. OP and her indignant ‘why me?’ Needs to get over herself. Why not her?

But I was carrying a small purse and had nowhere to conceal more than a few candy bars. Plus the main fact that I was not stealing anything.

You are the delusional one. Most of the shoplifters in his store were well-dressed white men. They knew that if they dressed to look professional, that nobody would suspect them.

What kind of store? This must be very specific. Where are well dressed white men exclusively shopping PP? Brooks Brothers? They sure as shit aren’t in Targe.

Target loss prevention people do not wear red Target uniforms.

That sounds like a new guy who was training and failing miserably at it.

And yes, you do need to check allergy labels frequently. Ingredients can change over time, particularly as companies look to lower costs. And the ingredients are sometimes different for seasonal food items compared to the regular brand items. I follow various food allergy blogs and Facebook groups and am very careful.

And thank you to the PP who told the rude poster to “pound sand.” It made me laugh.

This was the Target in Fairfax ( Fair Lakes).

Loss prevention does not wear Target uniforms. Or any uniforms in any store.
