OP said theyre not letting her grow up? OP has a relationship with DD and they discuss things.
Sad for you that your parents dumped you the second you turned 18

You are absolutely free to talk to your adult daughter about issues like relationships, and politics and our country and how it changes over time. I didn't have a great relationship with my mom about all these issues, but I have a good friend that has that kind of relationship with her mom and it's a good thing. They have a mature, supportive relationship.

She is scared that a misogynistic (grab em by the p*ssy) rapist was elected president again and that men (and women) are OK with that. She is scared that respect for women doesn’t matter in society anymore and this is just the beginning of a downward spiral of women’s rights.

Partisan jury declined to find Trump responsible for rape, so start with your lack of information.

But OPs 25 yr old big baby is “scared”. Maybe she should go spend some time in underdeveloped countries and learn what lack of respect or being scared really means.

That’s where we’re headed. Reason to be scared.

Only in the minds of the paranoid. Mental health issues are rampant here.

Yeah that’s what the nazis said about Hitler

It doesn't matter because abortion bans have already started to degrade the healthcare system for women in abortion ban states. That is going to continue. If you're young and thinking about starting a family with or without a partner, I would absolutely opt for a state without abortion bans if you can.

Some corporations also consider this issue if they're trying to attract employees.

+1. What city is being discussed here? Is it in an abortion ban? Is it in a state that went for Harris or Trump?

What did they say? This makes zero sense.

Even many Trump voters don't like Trump but had their reasons for voting for him (I don't agree with those reasons).

Or just let some time pass. Everyone I know is really grumpy right now and just needs some time to buck up and recognize their lives are still fine.

Women’s lives are not fine. We are losing healthcare (not abortion, I’m talking run of the mill OBGYN), we are losing ability to control our bodies, we are dying. How is that “fine”?

That’s called being nosy and meddlesome, not “supportive”.

No, it's not. They have respect for each other and can discuss issues.

The FDA has been killing a lot of us with pharmaceuticals for decades.

Don’t worry, your daughter will have the right to dangerous drugs just like every generation of American women since the 1960s. Hopefully she survives.

An unrequested opinion on another adult’s life and relationships is meddlesome by definition.

Ma'am, this is a Wendy's.

College probably indoctrinated her that she's a permanent victim of oppression unless she doesn't get her way 100% of the time.

Permanent victim of oppression? Like the white men that voted for Trump because they feel oppressed?

In any case, OP. Good luck to you and your daughter navigating this difficult time. Continue to discuss it and think up solutions. This country has navigated dark days before.

Time to adjust your meds.

This is ridiculous .Millions of men voted for Harris. There are tens of thousands of single men who voted for Harris in the very city your daughter moved to.
