It’s true. It’s easy in this area to forget that over half of Americans read below a 6th grade level. Those are most of Trump’s supporters. |
Trump is not getting much turnout at many of his swing state rallies. It's hard to fathom how he could actually win. If he does somehow win with such pathetic real-life showings it will indeed raise serious questions. |
It requires more intelligence to see why Democrats are complete frauds then it does to see why Republicans are complete frauds. Ergo you'd expect the people who have good reasons for being anti-Democrat to be smarter on average than those that those who are anti-Republican. |
Hear me out, Trump is the brick through the storm window. Anyone who was or is part of the status quo (experts, media, govt. etc etc) has lost a lot of credibility. A Trump voter simply does not trust the govt. They do not trust the media industry, they do not trust the legal system. They see democrats using the legal system to get revenge on Trump. |
Trump's a proven pathological liar and con man. I trust him even less than I trust the government. |
OP, what exactly don't you get? You only need to look at recent history and voting stats.
Here's the thing...Dems are always complaining that they won the "popular vote" and that Trump only won due to the electoral college...many Dems wanting to abolish the electoral college. Sure, Trump lost the "popular vote" -- but honestly not by that much at all in either 2016 and 2020. This is what you don't get -- this is very telling...proof that the country continues to be divided and we shall see what the 2024 popular vote percentages are. 2016 Candidate/Party/Electoral Votes/Popular Votes ✓Donald J. Trump Republican 304 62,984,828 -- 47% of the popular vote Hillary R. Clinton Democratic 227 65,853,514 -- 49% of the popular vote Other Other 7 6,678,550 -- 4% of the popular vote 134,516,892 Total Popular Votes Source: https://www.270towin.com/2016_Election/ 2020 Candidate/Party/Electoral Votes/Popular Votes ✓Joseph R. Biden Democratic 306 81,268,867 -- 52% of the popular vote Donald J. Trump Republican 232 74,216,747 -- 47% of the popular vote Jo Jorgensen Libertarian 0 1,865,720 -- 1% of the popular vote 157,351,334 Total Popular Votes Source: https://www.270towin.com/2020_Election/ Taking a look at the past...Trump steadily won 47% of the popular vote both in 2016 and 2020....that's half the country. The only reason Biden won in 2020 is because rather than vote for other third party candidates people voted for Biden. And now here we are days away from the 2024 election and based on what I've been reading (various sources...not DCUM) it's looking to still be a surprisingly close race - see various threads on why the race is so close. I foresee an increase in the number of popular votes for other third-party candidates (in addition to those simply not voting)....a repeat of 2016. Concerning and very telling that we are very much still a nation divided. I don't mean to scare anyone here, but I have a sinking feeling that the popular vote will not be the landslide being projected by the Dems. My 2024 projections are below: Kamala Harris Democratic 48% of the popular vote Donald J. Trump Republican 47% of the popular vote Other Other 5% of the popular vote And with the popular vote being so close....the electoral college will likely vote....well, we all know what happened in 2016. But maybe I'm totally off-base and Harris will pull more than 52% of the popular vote and we'll see a repeat of 2020 instead. Harris needs to pull votes from the "Other" in order to win this race...she will need more than 50% of the popular vote. On a side note...on my way home today there were Trump supporters rallying on all four corners of an intersection in Tysons Corner - with signs, flags and shouting vote for Trump. Quite a few cars were honking horns as they passed - I honestly couldn't tell if they were honking in support or opposition. |
This isn’t about what you think or believe. You’re not understanding that the entity that’s has proven Trump a liar is the very entity Trump supporters do not trust. |
Yes. There is a loss of trust in almost all institutions. When this happens, weird and volatile political and social movements start. How do we rebuild trust in our institutions? |
They are both major party candidates that receive hundreds of millions of dollars donated to their campaigns from people and entities with special interests that they must acknowledge through policy. This doesn’t equate to "pro-genocide" but I get the frustration. |
Mega Church on steroids Trump should scare the hell out of you. Project 2025 is horrific His supporters have no idea what they are voting for except for their racism We will never vote again he will crash the economy he will take the treasury he will be Putin on steroids. Most likely Putin boots on the ground. No matter the cult leader will be their god til they have no food and water they will bow down to their golden idle all in the name of whiteness |
We have to get lobbying and money out of politics |
GA is crushing it Arizona hates Kari Lake he will get less votes. MAGA heads are exploding today Stephen Miller is going off the deep end their internal polling must be horrible. I think she will win by a wider margin It will not matter he will be installed then taken out and Vance will be king never for us yo vote again. I not religious but his help us because what MAGA has unleashed we are not going to recover |
I don't understand either OP. Seems that a segment of the GOP base just wants to burn the US down to the ground. |
I am also a former republican voter who would never vote for Trump and do not get it.
To me a vote for Trump is the same as saying ‘I am a proud a*****e. Why do so many people want this to be their personal brand? |
Okay a vote for Harris is basically a vote to attempt to stack Suprime Court, Change the scope of illegal immigration. Remember millions have already been allowed to sneak in and hurt our schools, hospitals and safety. You do know there are 13,009 murderers walking around thanks to a harris basically not enforcing anything. Stay in Mexico was
stopped first week Biden was in office. Not to mention she wants pricing fixing which will cause bread lines. High taxes. There is a reason she will not do a press conference and only gaggles with planned questions from friendly media. No way can I see anyone voting for her. The country will be negatively affected for generations. |
