Surry County.....where they still talk about the War of Northern Aggression. |
Isn’t the Real Houswife from Potomac Karen from there? She’s African American. |
So no, you’ve never been there. Is there a reason you’re so rude? |
LOL, no. Surry is 41% black. Do you know anything about that area? |
| That stretch of 29 between Fredericksburg and Charlottesville. |
Gee, I wonder what historical phenomenon led to a large black population in a small southern town and whether any of the sociological elements that led to those demographics still have an influence. |
| Gaithersburg and Manassas. |

Google definition the middle of nowhere is: “a place that is remote and isolated”
The people who say Germantown, Gaithersburg, Manassas, Frederick, Fredericksburg, etc… you cannot be in the middle of nowhere at any of these locations. They are all in the DC Metro Area and easily accessible to everything from public transportation to highways to hospitals and restaurants. It’s impossible for these to be “middle of nowhere”. |
LOL! I was thinking the same but thought it would be too snarky to post. For those of us who actually live in DC in a safe blue bubble, it feels dangerous to leave the confines of the bubble to run into MAGAs and their guns. |
Bruh, MD is one of the bluest states in the Union. Biden won it by over 30 points, IIRC. You're probably more likely to run into guns in DC. |
Huh? Rte 29 doesn’t go through Fredericksburg. |
There's a word not often used to describe DC |
Provincialism at its finest. |

I don't consider anywhere in either state the middle of nowhere because I am from a non-coastal state out West where there are lots of places (including where I grew up) where the nearest *small* city is at least a day's drive away.
There is nowhere in either of these states where you can't be in Richmond or Baltimore or DC by lunch if you left a breakfast. |

Virginia - anywhere outside of Fairfax, Arlington, and Richmond. Maaaybe include Loudon and Prince William
