Is it possible to lottery in to a HS? Why are there basically ZERO accepted in most schools over the years? I'm not just talking about Jackson-Reed (where you can go all the way back to SY187-18 and not find a single applicant being accepted).

Of course it’s possible to lottery into a high school! My kid lotteried into MacArthur this year. I think you must be misreading the data. I spot checked Eastern, Ron Brown, and Coolidge, and they all showed plenty of acceptances. Can you name a lottery high school other than J-R or BASIS where you are seeing “ZERO” accepted for 9th grade?
