Count Day is over. Enjoy your school years all! |
Seems like DCI made a lot of offers for Chinese. |
Latin made more offers off the 5th grade waitlist than they ever have before - 36. BASIS made 98 (highest since SY20-21) and Latin Cooper 41. |
Other schools/years that came up often in this forum:
- ITDS 6th grade made 0 offers but 5th grade made 28 (of 43 on waitlist) - Sojourner Truth 9th grade ultimately made 30 waitlist offers. So fewer seats in the initial lottery but ultimately offering around the same number of seats as SY23-24 - MacArthur 9th initially offered 0 seats but eventually made 307 offers (of 331 on waitlist) |
Is the field "applications on results day" new? Interesting! |
Really small class coming out of Yu Ying |
Similarly, Walls made the most total offers ever (181 seats matched on match day + 68 waitlist offers = 249). The last four years have ranged from 233-239. |
Interestingly, the desirable DCPS middle schools seem to have made fewer offers for 6th this year (Hardy, Stuart-Hobson, Francis ... Eliot-Hine even left 12 students on the the waitlist) |
Stuart-Hobson is not a “desirable middle school” LOLOLOL |
There were 71 6th grade students left on the waitlist this year. It may not be desirable to you, but it is one of the middle schools that consistently has a 6th grade waitlist it does not clear. |
Transcribed that wrong. Actually 73 for S-H, 149 for Hardy, 117 for Francis. |
I think they meant for 9th. 88 on waitlist on results day, 77 offers made by October. |
I poked around in this data and honestly didn't discern a lot of trends or points of interest. Doesn't seem different from last year in any significant way. And I don't see any of the troubled schools perking up. |
Is there a demographic gap at middle school? |
