I have had people tell me I have changed their life for the better (and in some cases saved their life)- related to my profession.

People tell me I make the world a better place.

Those are the ones that stand out the most.

Playing one of those give initials/guess who games and my tween son’s person turned out to be me. when asked for a clue he said “she has a great sense of humor!”

My grandpa is 94 and he still says he never felt more special than when I was in second grade and "star of the week", I was told to bring my favorite thing for show and tell so I brought my grandpa 😆

I don’t know about the nicest ones I’ve ever received but my favorite compliments received this month thus far:

- DD (22) said: “Mom, you look so good, so young, you look my age or even younger”.

- My new boss compliments me all the time (work appropriate), and during our last one on one he laughed at the joke I made and said: “You are amazing!”

Years ago, in my old, TINY apartment, my friends told me that they loved coming over because they knew they could just sit on the couch, under a blanket, and feel completely at home, safe, and comfortable.

I have an awful job, but the people in charge always seat new people near me because I am apparently very kind and helpful. I used to hate it, but I realize that it's something to be proud of.

One of my neighbors would greet me by saying, in a very conversational tone: “Hi Goddess.” It totally made me smile, and I would actually pause to wonder what kind of goddess I could be. Maybe a Goddess of Laughter.

I’ve had compliments from children and families that I’ve worked with that have meant a lot, but “Goddess” really caught my attention and made me think about my gifts and priorities.

Someone told me once that I look like someone that could make good soup! that made me laugh and it is true!

I was getting a bridesmaid dress altered last year, and I'm way too old to be a bridesmaid. The tiny little lady tailor was like, "you're old but your body's still good."

An intern of mine told me I instilled a lot of confidence in her. As someone who deeply struggled with low self-esteem my entire life, I was overwhelmed with joy.
