I’d personally prefer college, but I’ve read some posts here say they’d prefer high school so they can supervise, support and coach their kids.

After marriage.

This is the only correct answer. What is wrong with Americans?

In my country, the children wait for the s*x until after we parents find them a suitable mate and they become married. It should be the same way here.

So, doesn’t sound like your home country is European. India?

We don’t have enough space to list all that is wrong with India.

C’mon, that is rude. Let’s keep it civil.

Seriously. I can’t stop thinking about a parent preferring their child to have a bunch of casual sexual relationships instead of a serious romantic relationship. Like it’s better to risk pregnancy or sexual violence with a stranger than experience emotional intimacy. I can’t get my brain around it.

Hey…if you are going to play the bullshit “in my country” card, then prepare to get dumped on.

PP could have kept her 3rd world morals to herself.

Um, no. Legally, age of consent is as low as 13 in 12 states.

I only mention this because of your use of the word "legally."

In Virginia it is 15. In Maryland it is 14. In Washington, D.C. it is 16.

Fairly certain that is with another person of same/similar age. So, in Virginia two 15 - 17 year olds can go at it...but not sure an 18+ can engage with a 15 year old.

It's called the Romeo and Juliet exemption:

Virginia's Romeo and Juliet law is a close-in-age exemption that allows minors between the ages of 15 and 17 to engage in sexual activity without breaking the law. The law is intended to protect teens who are having consensual sex and to prevent severe criminal penalties for those who are close in age.

Guess that 15 and 17 year old couple are screwed when the 17 year old turns 18.

College. I waited until college and out of my parents house. I expect the same.

Yeah...seems kind of silent on that...other than you can legally get married!

When I went to high school everyone was having sex. I think now that boys have phones and have limited porn, it’s different. But I still think most kids are between soph-senior year. And it is definitely more casual now that girls don’t feel the need to be in relationships.

I just think so many parents are over involved in their kids lives and babying them.

People don’t want their child getting wrapped up in a relationship that holds them back from other parts of life. I don’t agree that casual sex would be better, but I can see the reason people say that.
My college friend dropped out after freshman year to go back to her HS boyfriend at home. They didn’t stay together and she never finished college.

Depends on the maturity level of the people involved.
12-16 was normal for about 60% of my graduating class. Maybe 10% or less graduated virgins, unless they were just very discreet. Girls tend to have sex about 2 years earlier than boys on average, mostly because girls tend to date boys 2 years older than them in Jr. High and High School.

Are you from New York? Because this is not normal.

What does this have to do with New York? Sounds more like a very rural area to me.

I strongly feel that only a pervert would encourage their kids to do it before they are adults.

Gross.
Just because no one supervised your childhood which obviously led to age-inappropriate actions at such a young age doesn’t mean you need to try to normalize this for everyone else’s kids.
Just no.

Prayers for revival. We need Jesus now more than ever. Amen.
