It’s a faux thread. |
| This is wild. |
What is? It’s made up. It that wild? |

2 pills a week to spend however she wants. |
Locking up things I need, like drugs and guns, is ridiculous! |
The right answer. |
How can "fivers" be "loose" in a wallet? |

I’d be very alarmed. And I say that as a parent of a teen who has done some wild sh*t. There is something more nefarious about stealing and selling a parents medication though that goes beyond usual teen shenanigans.
I’d take a hard look at her friendships. She’s obviously mixed up in some associates who either encouraged this or helped her find buyers. My guess is that she’s at minimum involved in vaping and pot/alcohol use. Drug test her to find out. I keep adhd meds in my purse and I had pills siphoned out of my purse at a friends house who had a bunch of teenagers over at the time. Trust me this stuff happens. It’s not stupid to at least keep this stuff hidden away - even if you trust your kids you can’t trust their friends. |
This. The grounding I would do would be legendary. There would be no f's given for her discomfort. I'd make it clear that if I ever saw any similar drug related activity the police would be involved. I would let her know I would consider disowning her over this. This is so serious you need to go nuclear. |

I locked up ADHD meds for a while because my son's capsule had been emptied. I couldn't say who did it - we had cleaners, babysitters, family, and friends going through the house then. I strongly suspected who it was, but I had nothing to back it up. It was heartbreaking because my son needs the meds to get through school, and I had to go to the doctor to plead for more that month. So, I get where you're coming from, OP.
Do you know for certainty it was your daughter? |

When Mom was enrolled in hospice in her home her meds were locked in a combination lock tackle box supplied by hospice.
The hospice RN said it is usually family members of the loved one that steal the drugs, not paid caregivers. |
| My college student did this with her own ADHD medication’s. The discovery led to a much bigger problem that was happening with her using that money to purchase other illicit drugs. So yes, I would definitely look closer. It might be going on. |

Um, no. Don’t willingly incriminate your daughter. But do punish her severely and get your house in order. She is in crisis. |
