No they should review the call and replay it. Simple |
She didn’t swing through because the ball was called out |
| She would’ve lost the match even if she won this point. Americans are the worst sore losers. Including that billionaire daughter Navarro |
It does.not.matter. If you're a pro tennis player, a ref will make a bad call at some point in your entite career. PRO players should be pros because they can keep their mental S together and not let a bad call ruin them mentally. Sorry, Coco got her butt whooped and lost straight sets. A single bad call makes no one lose a match in straight sets ever. She just drink it up that match, period. |
Every amazing pro player argues bad calls with the ref. Every.single.one |
|
Gauff had a horrible Olympics. Lost at everything with no chance of a medal and dragged down others.
What a joke that she was allowed to be a flag bearer when she represented the country so poorly in terms of both her performance and her attitude. |
And? That's not the point. Real pros argue but drop it. They don't blame a bad call and racism for losing a match in straight sets. She is mentally fragile and too immature to be the best in the world at the moment. Blaming racism for getting your ass kicked in straight sets is so eye rolling and being a typical American. |

| What an awful, sickening thread. |

I cannot believe some of these comments. I hope it’s just one hateful person who is making the comments over and over.
Do you think any of these players want to cry on court? Of course not. Have you never cried when you were extremely upset or frustrated? Did you have millions of people watch you? Yes, she would have lost regardless. She didn’t play her best tennis. But she absolutely deserves the honor of being a flag bearer if she wanted to be (I read for example Katie Ledexky didn’t want to because she has to swim the next morning). I have seen Coco interact with fans at the Citi Open and she seems lovely. She is young. She is under a lot of pressure. Cut the kid some slack. Totally agree with the poster who said the second Danielle Collins comments. I’d like to see any of you perform under similar circumstances without losing your cool or composure ever. |
It seems as our entire lived revolve around Gen Z being incompetent but sensitive at the same time. |
What hasn't Osaka proven? She won 4 grand slams by her very early twenties. Is taking time off to focus on mental health that bad? Does it make her a whiner on the court?
You are thinking Pegula. If Coco's actions are bad enough to have a thread started about them, then most certainly a thread about Collins's and Navarro's actions is in order. |
Yes actually they do. The NBA hired a firm to see if there was bias in calls and guess what there are. So they review every call, every.single.call.... they analyze every ref's bad call and they determine if the bad calls are race based, best player based, or home team based.... the 3 most common biases. Then they are counselled and corrected for the biases each ref has, if they can't correct their biases they are fired. You sound mentally fragile, unintelligent and have a general lack of knowledge about how sports work. |
Osaka's network is $50M and has won $24M is prize money. It's like these people don't watch sports. |

Collectively, they come across as ugly Americans:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/olympics/2024/07/31/olympic-tennis-iga-swiatek-danielle-collins-tension/ I found Collins the most amusing though- accusing your opponent of being fake while being so “injured” that you couldn’t stick it out for 2 more games, then playing a doubles match a couple hours later? Really? Just be quiet girl. |
