But we will have dense mixed-use urban vibrancy! |
If I really have to - yes. |
Is is in that plaza taken over by homeless/high people? |
If people are so dysfunctional that they cannot step into Trader Joes to use the bathroom, then they should probably be institutionalized. |
It should go without saying that there needs to be a Trader Joe's for you to be able to use a restroom in one, and also that there are a lot of places in D.C. where there isn't a Trader Joe's. Where there is a Trader Joe's in D.C., I don't know what the restroom policies are, and you probably don't know either. |
| I’d rather have porta potties, gate keeping toilet access is ridiculous. |
The one I’m talking about is across the street from a TJs. |
I think this is true, but I’m not sure it’s a big deal. For one thing, I highly doubt this company is profitable yet, so we may actually be getting a “deal” as they try to prove it can work. For another, the investment and the commitment are both low. If it doesn’t work out, they just get hauled away. I don’t know if it will work long term but personally, I’m willing to use them when I would try really, really hard to avoid a regular porta potty. I also really like how they’re locked and you can see the whole thing when the door opens. An unattended public restroom in a park makes me really nervous when I’m alone or with my small kids. There are so many places to hide. So like two parks we go to, one in Hyattsville with a throne and one in Watkins regional with a permanent building, I think it’s even for me or maybe I even lean towards the throne for the lock and visibility. |
You are welcome to use the restroom at Trader Joe's, if you wish. Nobody is forcing you to use the restroom you're complaining about. |
they are forcing me to look at it, and it’s taking up park space. |
+1, except it should be $1 |
+1, along with brutalist federal buildings. To empathize to the workers and prols how the power of the state will crush them if they raise their voices. |
You make some token small purchase. Then you’re a customer. |
