Yes, because homeless people are the only people who would ever potentially have to use a restroom in a park. o.O

This particular toilet is in an area where normal people could easily fine an alternative - like a grocery store or restaurant.

Do you habitually walk into random restaurants, where you are not a customer, and ask to use their restroom? How does that go for you?

We’ll send the homeless to pee on your yard, understood

It’s laughable that people complain about high taxes and wasted $$$s are here arguing that DC pay to have staff at public restrooms.

What an absolute waste of money.

Are you claiming you never walked into a Starbucks or any other number of places, used the bathroom and walked out?

Personally, I always buy something so that I am a customer. Even if it's just a bottle of water. It's a business, not a public restroom.

Good for you…you get to ride on yoir moral high horse. However, you know for a fact that is commonplace for people to just use the facilities and leave. You haven’t just learned this through random postings on DCUM.

Trailer toilets are toilets right? Better than those stinking Portapotties.

Hey white privilege has its uses. I also go into hotels in Europe to look for a WC.

Find a public building if you want to use a toilet without paying.

NP, no I never do this and don't assume other people do this - you always buy something. But it doesn't matter because in plenty of DC (especially the tourist areas) there are not Starbucks and groceries you can just pop into to pee. And parks, in particular, should have restrooms.

GGWash will not stop until they have stamped out every last remaining square inch of green space to replace it with concrete, steel and glass. And then when they are done with that, people will still complain about not enough housing. But also now about how the city sucks because there's no green space and it's no longer livable.

The one in Columbia Heights, arguably the one most likely to be stolen, has been there since June 6 and as far as I know is still there. Seems like more than a week for the PP who “guaranteed” that’s how long they would last.

Do you do this when the sign says NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS or RESTROOMS FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY?
