Gen X parenting with Millennial parents/classmates

Gen X parent here with teens. I have been saying for years that Millennial parents are helicopter parents, can’t let little Larla go on a trip with her Girl Scout troop camping without mommy, get upset if the food offered isn’t perfectly suited for her, don’t want her in a tent without a parent, etc. They can’t let their kids be independent. Super annoying. And they don’t hold them responsible for their behavior.

I realize it’s a generalization, but it applies in 75% of my experiences with these parents.
