Sure, except that the story rings true. There have been links to both articles and dozens of first-hand accounts that corroborate it. There's really no doubt that this went on. |
Well you're in the minority since over a third of TJ's entering class had been their clients based based on the ad where their names were listed |
Math isnât your strong suit, eh? ![]() |
Based on what I've read here that should be over a quarter. Like the amount spent by families on Curie. this number keeps going up with each post. |
Yes, you are right- I was writing quickly and should have said, âOutside adults should stay out of the process and let the admissions office do their job.â You make excellent points about the use of the test to get a better idea of which kids really would benefit the most from TJ. Itâs too bad that people who are only out for themselves and apparently have little in the way of integrity interfere in the process in a negative way. |
Your fake story has sent hundreds of new customers to Curie. |
Not my story. But it seems legit to me. |
Same with us, heard about Curie due to the false rumor some poster keeps repeating here. DC at TJ now along with his Curie classmates. |
So you think there was some big conspiracy involving many TJ students back in 2020? Students willing to be named and write about it publicly? |
Haha! |
You can tell from this thread that there are people who are really, really bothered that an advantage has been taken away from people in the know, no matter whether that advantage was obtained ethically or unethically.
|
I don't think people would have been bothered by the removal of the QuantQ test alone, compared to removing almost everything that differentiates students. This test was only used for a few years. |
+1 they should bring back at least teachers' recommendations, STEM courses and activities. These factors can still work well with the current seat allocation. |
Many of us liked being able to buy access to TJ. It was simpler and reliable before these changes. |
No it is easier after the changes. Curie does prep for the TJ essay, which is easier than prepping people for a math and science test. |
