Unfortunately the idea of men bragging and seeking much younger women than them comes from cultural norms that have persisted a very long time. Namely women have always been there for the enjoyment of men. At least men perceive them as such. While in the modern era some may believe that we are pulling back from that we really aren't. There are so many subtle things that we do as parents in the ways that we raise our daughters without even realizing we are enforcing this cultural norm.

No it's not. It is only common in this forum. Women are still sensitive about dating much younger men. I know many come here and claim otherwise but in the real world that's not the case. And for good reasons. While people should not care about what other people thing, when people constantly point to your much younger date I don't care who you are it eventually gets to you. And women are often more subject to that.

You are wrong.
The truth is both men and women are in terrible shape in middle age in dmv. One person standing above the crowd will get 90% interest from the opposite gender, regardless of their age.
DCUM leans towards wealthy divorced women - they can afford a great diet, regular exercise routine and skincare. So I do believe the posters who say they are able to date much younger men.
All my female single friends (corporate directors&SVPs, doctors, IMF/WB staff, real estate professionals etc) date their age or younger.

Asian American here. Not sure what kind of odd racist comment that is about Asian students with no visas. I have never heard of this and I am Asian American. Most of the international students I know are rich and won’t be trying to date and marry some old guy for a visa.

Only one of my friends even thought about pregnancy at 30. All of us had our babies between 35-41. So men thinking women in their mid-thirties are not interested in babies are showing their age, as those are peak baby years for my generation, and women in that range who previously dated with no direction are often feeling their window closing and looking for a baby daddy.

As someone with a mid-20’s DD this shocks me. She and her friends won’t even consider a mid-30’s guy. Maybe later in life the gap doesn’t seem so big but I can’t believe women in their 20’s have interest in men in their 40’s+

I have teens and I remember when I was in my twenties. I totally thought a 30yo was old. I don’t think 20 something year old girls are trying to date 50 year olds.

I am sure there are some desperate women from poor backgrounds that may want a sugar daddy type situation but I personally don’t know anyone like this. You can be hopeful and have a life of your own before trying to date a man who is your dad’s age.

I’m assuming rich men can date women of any age.

I recently went to Miami with my middle aged girlfriends and went to a club. I got totally dragged. I did not want to go. Men who were in their forties and fifties had young girls at their table. I guess if you are spending thousands of dollars on bottle service and can park your yacht, you can attract young hot women.

I cannot imagine well educated college girls from a good family wanting to sit with and hang out with rich old men.

The typical balding, not fit, not rich MC 55 year old who has to pay child support and pay for their kid in college is not attracting these young hot women.
