Japan is a sovereign country.
I was not among those who "threw a hissy fit."
Our borders need to be a hell of a lot more secure. The US should absolutely be more discerning about who they allow in.

We won’t have any Allies left if we try to dictate the immigration policy of other countries. Other countries are free make their own decisions on immigration and there is nothing wrong with them deciding differently than the US.

That's because our country is not "normal". This country was founded by immigrants, from all over. Japan was not.

Japan has a huge problem with declining birth rates. The US doesn't, but only because of immigrants. Even some in the Japanese experts are sounding the alarm and saying they need immigrants to shore up their working age population.

And, they can begin by finding and deporting the millions who have already had a court determine they are ineligible to stay, but they have not left.

Biden is correct. Our economic growth is partly due to immigration. We have always received much more benefits than burdens from immigrants. Xenophobic nationalist policies are self-destructive.

+1 and that includes even the sympathetic migrants (DACA, TPS). If we grant mass amnesty you can bet on millions more showing up hoping to be here for the next amnesty.

We can't expect countries like Japan to want to introduce mass immigration simply to continue to exist. Is it really Japan if the occupants are not Japanese? Honestly it seems like they would rather die off than have the country turn multicultural.
