Taylor Swift album Tortured Poets Department leaked early?

I love how did it end. Very sad song. I am happy her and Joe didn't have a big fall out.

She didn’t breakup with Joe until April 2023. So,you’re saying she cheated on Joe.

Yes that's how double albums work!

-old person who has CDs

No it actually might not work like that. Taylor loves to release multiple versions of her albums, each version maybe containing extra songs the others don’t. I think it’s very possible because this was a surprise second album that TTPD is one cd, and you have to buy the second surprise one (Anthology) separately. It was never billed and sold as a double album.

So now ahe’s ripping off her fans.
This. She’s going to double her first week of sales because everyone who pre-ordered the album will have to buy it again to get the Anthology version.

It’s win-win. Swifties just want the music that sounds like TS, with messages and Easter eggs, and girl power!!

I get it! And I’m not mad at her. Old school “albums“ used to take years. I predict we will get a couple every year going forward.

Did she actually use AI?!

If she did, not much of a song writer.

The 2AM drop was spectacular. I am on my full second run-through now and the rest is growing on me. Not gonna lie, I love the Travis songs.

I listened to it. I think Aaron Dessner is insanely talented. Taylor Swift is mediocre in lyrics and voice. She's great at marketing and picking musicians.

I appreciate that Taylor Swift is a great business woman who has created this image around herself. I do think she is taking advantage of her fans, many of whom are young, by surprising them with a second album. She knows they’ll buy it but it seems greedy.

Nah. She has a well-established habit of documenting the writing process of her albums. There’s always tons of videos that come out of her songwriting sessions. I’m sure there’s plenty of receipts for these albums too.

I’m not done listening yet, but those are my favorite songs so far, too. I can already tell not my favorite album, but I like it.

Oh no, a TS album is overly dramatic. LOL.

Guys she did not use AI. The woman has been writing music her whole life. If you know her music, the lyrics are clearly hers. Just don’t contribute to the thread if you don’t like her music or know what you’re talking about …?

I really really want to love this album and I hope that it grows on me. My first take is that it's a lot of talk-singing. I get triggered when people say that all of an artist's songs sound the same, but... I'm struggling to differentiate the energy of ttpd songs because they're really... similar. I'm an old school fan and will force myself to love this album. But I was secretly hoping for more distinctive hits that you want to dance to
