What private school did Mary Schmidt Amons attend?

I agree...the only house I like is Stacy's. Love the location, love the house...

Link to the pics? Where does Stacy live?

really have to agree with my sister here, you all lead pretty pathetic lives. stumbled upon this piece of bologna while searing for some of lollys art. ABSOLUTLY RIDICULOUS. never have i ever been so purely disgusted in a group of hobby housewives with no time on your hands!

please go attend to your OWN children, I'm sure they are so proud of you for this piece of literature.

GOD BLESS!

On the show Lolly showed some of her (cough) art. How very, um, hotel. Sorry, that's the best I could come up with. [The art] has no education, no skill, no emotion behind it, it's not marketable--well except maybe to a hotel chain. Maybe [your art] wins you a ribbon at the local high school art show, but come on! Stop it!

Yes, I’ve seen the photos of Mary’s house for sale. There is no art inside or outside the house. No idea of how to decorate the rooms, display art or spatial concept. Mary and Lolly both put out there that they have an eye for art—sorry, don’t see it!

On another thought--I am so sick and tired of overly bored housewives starting so-called fashion lines whether it be jewelry or clothing. In the housewives franchise many wives tried to be [cough] [NO GAG!] artist. It's over priced shit! Just because you have money and time on your hands and shop the boutiques, does NOT give you an eye for art, fashion or style! It’s been evident with their choice of style of decorating their home or choosing clothing to wear. Stop it--just stop it! You're not talented. Stop polluting the earth! Stop hurting my eyes!

Before you complain have a degree in fine arts and am an art dealer in New York and London. I have over 25 years of experience and could tell you Lolly your art shows no experience.

Wow - that is just cruel, even by DCUM standards. But good for you for attacking a 23 yr old kid. Hope you feel better now.

Well, yes I do! Thanks for asking! But truth is truth and Lolly you [sorry for the pun] SUCK! Ha, ha, lolly—suck. Yeah, I’m a mean bitch with more years of art and being around real artists to know your work SUCKS! And I did buy art for a hotel chain client. I won’t even have bought her work—because it SUCKS!

If Lolly and Mary Amons are using the show to put the daughter’s work out there and claim to be quote "a talented artist" then you are up for debate and criticism. Remember, she quit her job to suffer for art? Don’t cry when you receive criticism. You put it out there.

And, “23-year old kid”?? excuse me, kid?? Need I remind you Lolly, the budding artist is an adult. She can enter into contracts, buy property, marry without permission, serve in the military, in short an adult.

Mom DID try on several occasions to push her daughter’s art out there as marketable on the show. She DID say her daughter had talent. And her daughter IS AN ADULT.

My eyes hurt. I’ve seen better art work come from the local high school art displays at the local mall. I reiterate Lolly, get some education and for now, your WORK SUCKS.

Yeah, I was married with a baby by the age of 23.

Wow, PP. You're an ugly, ugly person to say that. I don't care what sort of art degree or acumen you claim to have.

Great come back, no talented bitch.

Tears-tears. Sure showed me. I'm crying from laughing at YOU. That you couldn't argue if I was wrong or not about Lolly's sucky hotel art, I was right that at age 23 she's an ADULT, or mom's rich bitch attitude "Quit work because you're an artist." I am an ugly, ugly person. So are you sticks and stone, ha, ha.

Prove me wrong. Lolly put her art out there. Great now comes people's opinions. You gave yours--great--I appreciate your defense. But you are ugly person for not allowing my opinion. So feed me, more, more. I want more tears! Because over the weekend I went to this yard sale and saw some great art ...

How did this thread get so out of hand?

I agree. Truce! Sorry for bringing your blog down.

I apologize to whom I offended. I was wrong in being so bitchy. But I also feel I was giving an opinion and in giving an opinion I felt attacked personally for having an opposing opinion.

Besides the show is so yesterday anyway. Life goes on.

Wow--some of these posts are just awful And these are moms who are posting? Wow!! Would hate to see what kind of kids you produce with that kind of nastiness going on. As for Lolly-she is trying and she IS 23 and good for her. Gosh..I was a mess at 23. And as for SAHM getting into business be it art/fashion whatever. That's a bad thing? Really?? There are a lot of businesses that were started by a mom who had an idea and went with it. Frankly the whole "you don't have the right degree" nonsense really annoys me. Far too many DC people have fancy degrees but are just a jerk. I have a pedigree but thank god don't have the attidude. I think this thread needs to be pulled-it brings down thoughtful discussion.

Pedigree!? Are you a dog? Here girl [click tongue]! And I called a truce!

“I don’t have the fancy degree … but have a pedigree” You don’t see what’s wrong with that statement? You don’t see how pretentious that statement was? And we moms are SO bad. Thanks for that judgment. Mirror-mirror. I don’t respect your statement and here is why:

First I don’t have a pedigree. I didn’t come out of the right vagina. Sorry for the visual, but your statement I found just as disgusting. My mother cleaned toilets and raised 8 children. Second, I didn’t go to any ivy league school either. (Didn’t have the grades or the money). I waitressed all through school. In short, I WORKED for a living ALL my life. No one paid for any of my schooling or my husband’s. We lived off cup of noodles for years. I went to public school, then state college. Nothing fancy or pedigreed about me.

I live with my husband in Oxon Hill—very middle class working-for-it neighborhood. We WORKED for every penny we had and so do my neighbors. No help—no rich parents to make it all nice for us. No “quit work” was EVER offered to me or my husband by our McMansion parents.

Cry-cry-tear-tear. 25 years of blood, sweat and tears does make you a bitch. I’m very guilty of that! Jealousy does have an ugly head. I never denied that about me.

My argument and frustration in this blog response comes from 25 years of fighting to get the art buying position I hold. I wrestled it away from ivy league grads (who probably worked just as hard for it) and/or WORSE, the pedigreed/vagina girl (i.e. the “came-out-of or came-in (eww) handed-to-her kinda of girl”—Again sorry for the visuals). Yes, I’m morally bankrupt—I wasn’t born in a whelping box like you.

Nothing to see here moms! We moms are the bad ones for giving pedigrees to our pretentious children. Ruff—Ruff!
