It was already a half day schedulef so there's no point in doing a 2 hour delay. Might as well close

Totally sissyfication of America. We are making our children weak.

Never heard of this guy till now. He is just hilarious. The Dad flex video was just too funny. Indian parents are just the same.

lol I grew up in Canada. Never had a snow day, temps were often -30 with a lot of snow. What kind of buses do we have here in MCPS that they won't start at 21F?

+1 fine black ice is a concern etc. I'm okay with the delay.

But LOL re buses. What do they do in Boston, Chicago, upper Midwest, Canada etc. Modern vehicles should be running fine!

Again, these places are set up for bad weather we are not.

Wait until a few more years.

I kept checking the internet about the MCPS decision, and prepared to spring into action…and then remembered DC is in their first year of college. Who cares what MCPS does anymore? It no longer rules us after 13 years - yay!

And, yet, you are still here. Why?

Looks like they are sticking to their guns unfortunately. I would be fine with another day off.

You’ll get your wish on Friday. Kids need school…

I am not looking forward to driving my kids to school today. Cmon MCPS - make the call!

It is very slick out. 13 degrees. We close for wind and not this? Makes no sense.

Let’s hope they don’t close. One of the likely makeup days if MCPS goes over its allotment of snow days might be Eid, Sunday June 19.

Edit, previous post should read Monday, June 19.

Teacher here. I enjoyed my 4 day weekend but am glad we are going in today. I want my snow days spread out, not all in one week!

What? Main roads are completely fine. I just took 29 to 32 in MD and everything was clear and dry. Not a slick spot to be found. Neighborhoods weren’t as great but not terrible. Completely passable.

Harford County closed last minute. Streets are still super icy. Bad call, MCPS.
