What’s difference between Holy Child and Stone Ridge?

Please don’t do this. Both schools will provide a great education to the OPs daughter. I have 2 graduates of SR. They are not mean girls and neither are their friends. Are there mean girls there? Both of my girls would say yes. There are mean girls in elementary, middle and college. In a class of 90-100 you will have many types of girls. The school does not encourage mean girl behavior. OP- please check them both out.

This. MY DD was a recent graduate of SR high school and had a great group of friends and she definitely wasn’t a mean girl. Along with her drive, determination and the rigor of SR, she got into her dream college via ED. Both schools seem fine.

Now if you are concerned about ethnic diversity, that a different question.

How is it for ethnic diversity? Brown family here looking at SR.

SR says, I believe, that it is about 30% non-white, which sounds about right to me. My DD has friends who are White, Asian, mixed race, and African-American. But I'd ask the school! Been very happy with SR.

Last year SR sent a survey to all families and gave the results in the Fall. The 'sense of community', communication, and Athletic Dept received low grades / negative responses. People were pretty happy with religious aspects and diversity. You could inquire about the survey. My DD is a Fourth Academic and I would agree with the results.

This was our deciding factor against last year as a fellow brown family. Diversity was highly class year dependent at SR.

Would you be willing to let a current family how we could access the survey? I don't recall taking the survey. When was it sent?

+1 Current family here. I remember filling out the survey, but I don't recall seeing the survey results. Is it posted somewhere on Inside SR?

I believe it! We were in the same school with a few who actually bullied parents and kids.

Holy Child girls tend to be prettier and more pleasant, according to my son, who socializes with HC, SR and Visi girls.

Prettier? Not based on HC’s Instagram accounts (graduating seniors). HC is not known to be an academically rigorous school. Thus, a more accurate description of HC students would be average looking girls of average intelligence. That’s not an insult because someone has to be regular.

Can this line of comparisons please stop. There is no reason to comment on kids’ appearance. Again- would recommend shadowing at both. I would guess your daughter will have a preference. Good luck!!

I'm just telling you what my son and his friends have said for years (he is a senior). Unfortunately, I don't go around stalking the Instagram photos of teenage girls (like you do) so couldn't tell you myself. 🤷🏼‍♀️

NP, and the fact you repeat such adolescent and immature comments coming from your offspring says a lot about you and how you raise your kids.

Why does every thread about all-girls private schools devolve into a discussion of who is prettier? If these are real adults commenting, you should do better.

You guys are so gross.

And all this on top of the snobby discussions supposedly about "rigor". OMG.
