Not saying it’s not important, but if there is cash to spend on fields - and they have been spending for fields, so it’s not something new - they’ll be able to find space. |
Well they are not getting Hanson Park either! |
What’s happening with FCV? We’ve had a few new players at a practice at my DD club last week. Wondering if the ship is sinking or parents looking around as usual? |
Which age group? |
I bet 2010s and possibly 11s and 12s. |
I understand all age groups are or will be leaving en masse. Girls who are committed don’t want to have a down season before arriving to college. Our younger will be trying out for ecnl. |
Lol. Sure. |
Is it hard to believe that players will leave a club with no coach and no fields? |
It’s gonna be a mad rush to all of the ecnl clubs with the last to move ending up at Brave. |
At some ages they will be fighting for spots at Brave, at others ages they might be able to come over with a few friends. Might not be a last choice. |
Eh, some might leave but honestly, all clubs are in the middle of an expected number of folks doing midyear tryouts. Add a few extras in there who are just concerned perhaps from the departures.
I doubt much will change going into Spring. |
Not to mention the attrition rate between about U13-U15 for soccer. |
Sure are a lot of crazy rumors going around about FCV and VA Revolution such as BP leaving, no practice fields in Loudoun County, Revolution essentially buying FCV GA...but so far only one is true with CC leaving.
One thing I know for sure is that it would be a total D1ck move if FCV doesn't make some kind of announcement before Virginia tryouts. Imagine committing to a club just to find out the Director/Coach is leaving and practices will be Fairfax County the following season and you have no idea who will be coach or Director. Can't blame people for leaving during break. Rumors or not, if FCV wants to save itself, it should make an announcement. Treating families like they are stupid is not a good look. The longer they hold off, the more families will leave who don't want to be left holding the hot potato. |
Why Brave? On the girls side.2010s are solid.2011s are good as well. 2008s seem successful with their make up. 2009s could use some attacking players for sure. 07s, same. There are plenty of other clubs who need help in age groups. Arlington, Union, VDA? I can't imagine BRAVE being wide open. |
Because BRAVE is the weakest ecnl club in northern virginia by far. |
