My dog is my reincarnated mother.

I craved peanut butter and had it with a bagel almost every morning when pregnant with #2. He’s allergic to peanuts.

Huh, I’ve always been a big peanut eater. Ate peanut butter a lot while pregnant too. Two kids, no allergies for any of us. I always thought eating allergens while pregnant and especially while breastfeeding prevented allergies but clearly I was wrong given PP’s experience.

Also, not wearing a hat when it's cold makes you sick.

I would absolutely believe both of these! (My mother and grandmother agree with you on the second for sure.)

I think the opposite.

I think the epidemic of nuts allergy in kids is a result of all of the plant-based oils that we have come to use in great quantities (canola, corn, soy, peanuts, safflower, sunflower, grapeseed). They are literally in every kind of processed food, and on top of that we use it a lot as a 'neutral oil' in cooking.

Why then only peanut allergies? Why don’t we have an epidemic of corn or sunflower allergies as well?

They have the same eyes. I know that sounds bat$h1t crazy but I always thought so and then a relative came to visit me and said “I have some thing really strange to tell you, but your puppy has your mother’s eyes”.

I don’t think alcoholism is really a disease.

ADHD in adults is just an excuse for not even trying to manage your life. The only adults who get away with it are surrounded by people who enable them.

And adding speed to the equation does not help.

The JFK assassination was the work of two totally unrelated people. Oswald was an unstable nut - nobody would have hired him to do a hit. But there was a second gunman in the sewer who shot the final bullet that hit JFK. He was the Mafia/CIA/whatever guy. When Oswald started shooting, he probably wondered who the $&+@ was doing it. Sewer guy was probably killed just as he left his position.

People do. The Catholic Church says gods time is not our time, and evolution, and the big bang and God can all be true.

My priest always said we have no idea how long any of the “days” were until the 4th “day” when God created the sun; ergo, evolution.

I’m like the anti-vaxxer of sun screen. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that wearing SPF daily is the answer to preventing aging and skin cancer. Is smearing chemicals on our face really healthier for us than natural sunlight? All the research seems to say yes, but I just can’t get on board with this and kind of thing sunscreen is a scam. I also think sunscreen is destroying our reefs.

I 100% agree.

I have dry eyes (waa!). On the up side, because of putting drops in all the time I have no crows feet. Like none. And I’m 52

Also I wonder if Jesus was conceived by an alien. That’s why he was conceived via immaculate conception, could heal the sick, Mary was lifted to a space ship. Basically the stories from the Bible are true but insert alien component.

As a Catholic and sending my kids to Catholic school, I know this is blasphemy. I hope I am wrong.

As a Catholic you should know the difference between the inaccurate conception and virgin birth.

To clarify this: The Immaculate Conception is about Mary, not Jesus, and has nothing to do with sex or conception of a baby. It simply says Mary was preserved from original sin.
