Same except I’ll reconsider the flu shot once I turn 65.

+1, 54F. I'll take another one.

+1. I will take as many as it takes. I don't understand anti-vax idiots posting here.

Ok, so convince me to get one.

I have never had covid at all, despite living with zero restrictions for 2+ years. My last shot was in December of 2021. I'm healthy, active, and have no comorbidities. But for all my covid shots (2 Pfizer original, 1 Moderna booster) I've been awful sick for 1-2 days.

So tell me. Why should I get the booster? What's the point?

Not interested. There are literally hundreds of threads here dating back 2 years or longer. You can search yourself. Frankly, what do i care if you get it or not. If you die or not. Your life, not mine.

Yeah, you're full of it.

I'm an elementary teacher - I work with filthy germy children allll day. I've been going to the gym as soon as they re-opened, in June 2020 - without a mask. I've traveled internationally, maskless on the plane. Gone out to eat, in stores, socialized, etc. I haven't had covid once.

And? I've never voted Republican once, in my 25 years of voting.

It must suck for you to be so anxious and definitive about your ideas, instead of progressive and mindful. But you do you. I'm healthy and well. No more covid shots for me (that make me sick!). I'll get my flu shot in September, though.

You are a teacher? Seriously? Sh*t… kids are in deeper trouble than I thought.

Did you come up with this original burn all by your lonesome?

This is the first time I've been hesitant to get one. I've had all the boosters I was eligible for but the vaccine coming out in the Fall is for the strain that is currently. circulating.

I think by winter we will be onto another strain.

How far does that line of thinking take you? Are you going to be injecting bleach to get rid of cancer if you get it?

My body my choice.

My husband got his booster a month before he brought home covid. I didn't get booster. I got over it much quicker and easier than he did and I usually catch everything and its usually harder on me than him.

I'll gladly get it!

Yes, how about that huh?

43, elementary teacher, and I still have yet to catch covid once from the germy children (or elsewhere). Last shot (booster) was in December 2021.

For highly vulnerable people? Fine, go get it. Decently healthy people? Nope.

Why?

I’m not that poster but since people keep asking why… I felt way more sick from the second shot and subsequent booster than I did with Covid. But am open to it if I start to hear that otherwise healthy people are getting terribly sick. It’s really not political for me, it’s a matter of how my body responds to the shot vs the sickness.

You do realize that it’s the fact that the vaccine conferred antibodies that made your bout with actual Covid so much milder, right?

So how many does it take to become immune?

Yes, we must only have robots that don’t question anything and only travel 25 miles from their home on public transportation while always wearing a mask teaching the children.

The PP didn't say whether she had Covid before or after the vaccine.

It’s just constant - there’s no end in sight. I don’t feel comfortable with that.

Just to add - I’ll wear a mask again if there’s an outbreak.
