How often does your 7 year old shower/bathe?

You let someone else use a different bathroom in the house simultaneously. You couldn’t figure that out?

We’re in the same situation. Does he ever rash?

Every night before bed. How can you guys let your kids go to bed without a shower when they are in school all day, have PE, recess, sit around on the classroom floors?

Every 3 days.

Don't be that parent who lets your kid be the stinky kid in class.

And you may not smell it because you live with your kids... but others do. It's gross.

On behalf of all black people. We take a bath or shower EVERY single day.

Pediatricians/dermatologists do not recommend daily baths for children under 6. Daily bathing is permitted, but not recommended for children from six to onset of puberty. Daily bathing is of course recommended from puberty on. DD who is five gets four baths/showers a week, unless we go to the pool where she also gets a shower after. She doesn't smell and has great hair - and also has never had eczema or other skin issues.

Every day immediately after school, to get all the gross germs etc off that we don't want in our home.

Weekends only sometimes, depending on where we go and what we do.

If dirty, shower or bath. Your kid is definitely dirty after school

My kid bathes most days BUT I think this is silly because obviously kids change clothes, wash hands and faces, etc. It’s not like people are putting their kids to bed in their school clothes or avoiding all grooming. They just aren’t giving their kids a full bath every night.

Also, as many have said, it sometimes depends on time of year and activities. Like my kid usually bathes on school days but won’t take a bath today because we are hanging out at home and we can bathe tomorrow since it’s a holiday. I won’t shower today either because I’ve just been relaxing and baking and really don’t need to.

People are making too much of this. Even the more occasional bathers have said their kids bathe daily in warm weather when they are outside every day.

Some of you are germaphobes. Which is fine, everyone has their stuff. But the idea that children are contaminated unless hosed down daily immediately upon arriving home? Is extreme.

Like the “once a week” people are extreme but so are the people freaking out about missing a day, or even two, here and there.

Really? Right after school? Don't they have sports and things?

Does he need to be told to change and shower in the morning or is he good about doing it on his own?
