If you took Semaglutide/Ozempic, when did you notice a difference?

Since this has been around for awhile, my doc's office has had patients who were on it and have gone off and managed to maintain their weight for at least a year so far. I think an important part is sticking with the changes. I wonder if it takes a certain amount of time for the changes to become permanent or if you need to taper back down so that you get used to being off the meds and make the necessary adjustments. I don't know, but they have patients who have successfully transitioned off. It sounds like it is really person specific, like how some maintain loss after trying other methods and others gain weight back.

This, it’s like other weight loss methods in this way. If you stop the diet, you gain back the weight. And it’s harder if you’ve lost a lot.

This is experience from CVS, not Walgreens. If you go into the pharmacy where it’s on back order, they can look up which location has it. Then you can decide if you’re willing to drive there and they’ll move the prescription, and it’s ready by the time you get to the other one or shortly thereafter. From what they’ve told me, they don’t have a good sense of when they’ll get more so this is a way to get it in hand if you don’t want to chance it and have a few hours to dedicate to the errand. Watch out because they all close for lunch now so that will delay everything.

Thank you! Exactly what I needed to know!

I have been on Ozempic for several months, am on the 2mg dose, feel almost nothing, and have lost no weight. It's pretty devastating.

I moved up to 1mg this past week. I have lost interest in food and am definitely some digestive issues. I was supposed to take my 2nd shot 2 days ago. I've got a call in to my doc, but wondering if others felt this. I'm not sure if I should take the 2nd dose or try to back down to 0.5. I don't want to make things worse, but I remember week 2 of 0.25 was way easier than week 1.

I went from .5 to .75 this week (after two months at .5). It seems about right, not sure I could handle 1.0 yet. It was definitely a bump up from .5.

Which med goes to .75? Wegovy moves from .5 up to 1.

Ozempic. I get it at the doctors office, they can do .75. But on the reddit boards plenty of people seem to do Ozempic at .75.

I was prescribed for being prediabetic.

Good god this sounds like the promised land.

It’s honestly like a miracle.

My sister started this drug a few weeks back and was trying to come up with the right phrase about how she feels about food now. I suggested the “food noise is gone” and she said it’s exactly that.

Withing 24hrs. I also am very sensitive to any medication I take. I’m 12 weeks in and still on .5. Sometimes it’s even too strong. Curbs my appetite to an extreme.

You can easily do .75 on ozempic by counting clicks. I don’t understand why the jump from .5 to 1.

My mom is going on 4 months and is up to 1.75mg and feels nothing.

This was me until this week. I’ve been on ozempic (I’m t2) since the end of January and been up to 2.0 for two months. Only this week have I finally started feeling like I’ve eaten thanksgiving dinner after 1/2 a sandwich. I’ve still lost 20 pounds, but that was mainly from diarrhea. Up until this week, I could still eat an entire pizza.

You might not get there as it’s not a weight loss drug. It controls blood sugar.

What are you talking about? Semaglutides are absolutely weight loss drugs.

That's why they are prescribed to diabetics to control blood sugar, right?

How did you get the scrip for it?

One pound a week should be very doable without medication.

Lololol! If that were the case these meds would not exist.
