If you took Semaglutide/Ozempic, when did you notice a difference?

You might not get there as it’s not a weight loss drug. It controls blood sugar.

I've averaged a pound a week, but it wasn't linear. It's not super fast, but it's what is recommended if a regular "diet" actually worked. I'm on .5 right now.

I'm taking Moujaro and started with 2.5. It immediately controlled my appetite. I've been taking it a little over 3 weeks and have lost 7 lbs. I have about 30 lbs total that I need to lose.
They consider 1-2 pounds a week a safe rate of losing.

I’m also on Mounjaro - lost 55 pounds since October. Have to lose at least another 50 to get to healthy weight.

What are you talking about? Semaglutides are absolutely weight loss drugs.

Worked for me since day one on Wegovy, about a pound a week. MO nighttime cravings, it's been amazing.

I started on rybelsus a few days ago- this is day 4. Immediately my appetite dropped to nothing, I am eating about 1/2 as much as I used to, and I never feel hungry. I have also had fairly bad side effects, in my mind- although it is getting better today- vomiting, reflux, stomach cramps, etc. This may also be why I am not eating.
as an illustration of the 1/2- I often have 2 eggs for breakfast. If I have 2 eggs, I usually feel hungry for lunch about 3.5 hours later. Now I am only eating one egg- and don't really feel all that hungry 4.5 hours later. I got a salad from panera and could only eat 1/2 of it- etc.

I experienced appetite suppression on the first day, but it’s worth noting that it changes over time. I don’t feel the same way now weeks later. So you just have to go along and see how it feels without trying to extrapolate too much.

Has anyone maintained weight loss after stopping?

In the studies, people do. It seems about like maintaining weight loss by any other method, ie hard.

Glad this question came up. Is it possible to NOT lose weight on semiglutides?

I’ve been on it about 2 weeks and haven’t lost anything.

I'm the PP who asked how long it takes. The reason for my question is my step-daughter has been on Victoza since December, she has approx 70lbs to lose. We saw her last weekend for the first time since she started her meds, to us it seems like she's not even one pound down. We don't dare ask of course, but I would assume by now she should have lost at least 20lbs.

4 weeks in on .25 Wegovy. I’ve been on a 1200 calorie diet and lost 8 pounds. I didn’t notice it was working. But, I take it Fridays and by Wednesday, I notic how hungry I am. Going up to .5 mg this week.

I did fine on .25 of ozempic but moving to .5 made a big difference. I had my shot last Thursday and today (Tuesday) I still have limited appetite. I've been on .5 for 2 months and don't plan to go above it.
