He surprisingly became a Christian while recovering from that awful tragedy.

Head injury?

No, his legs were horribly broken. His pelvis was smashed. They were very close to amputating his left leg. His doctors thought he may never walk again.
It’s cool you thought to make fun of his accident though. You don’t seem to exhibit the kindness you claim is lacking in Christians.

When have I commented on Christian kindness?

So you are happy to be a person who thinks life threatening accidents are jokes.
Everyone here constantly points out how mean spirited and rude Christians are to people who are not their religion.
Why do you think a car accident in which a woman died and a young man grievously injured is something to poke fun at?

I haven't commented on "how mean spirited and rude Christians are". Why would you assume that I do?
I'm poking fun at you since your comment was totally off topic.

So asking me if my brother had a head injury from his accident is poking fun at me? I don’t follow that logic at all.
It sounded like you were asking if he had a head injury and a result of the damage to his head and brain was his conversion to Christianity.
That’s what you meant. Because you are that type of person.

I’m the kind of person who would make a joke because your post was off topic.
Should I just report it next time? Seems extreme.

I greatly appreciated the joke. I also felt it was aimed at the poster, who clearly had no business on this thread, rather than the brother.

NP. I’ve watched this back and forth, and that poster was clearly mocking the brother’s accident. Gross and disgusting.

It's a weird exchange.
That said, it's likely that a head injury would be the only way I'd change from an atheist to a Christian.

You're a disgusting human being too. Atheists aren't really shining in this thread, are they?

If you don't have any comments pertaining to the actual topic, sit down. This thread isn't for you.

So you think it's OK to mock somebody's traumatic car accident? Says all I need to know about DCUM's atheists.

Can we all agree that the head comments were bad and point out they could have just has easily been posted by someone trying to threadsheet or make atheists look bad, or both?

And get back to reasonable discussion?

I don't care what you guys call yourselves. It's a free country, right?

I just wish the two ranting atheists, and the atheist who thinks the car crash is funny and the inane post is the one that criticizes their joke, would bugger off.

We have a winner! You can be either #1 or #2, but either of those can also be #3.

And we wish you wouldn't feed the trolls, which would greatly increase the chance of them going away. But you keep giving them what they want... hmmm....

Wow. Are you really that desperate for attention? Sad.

Does #3 require proof? Without proof how would anyone ever "know"? They might "hope" but that's different than knowing.

And you atheists keep standing back and letting them destroy threads ... maybe because they do the work for you ... hmmm....

The only issue with this thread are the believers who have made countless off-topic posts. Probably trying to get it locked.

Agnostic: It is unknowable.

and some of us are atheist too. We don't know and we don't believe.

You are contradicting yourself.

You can keep typing that, but that doesn't make it so.

What is the word you would use for someone who does not have a belief in a god and also makes no claim there is not one?

As soon as you say belief, you are not agnostic. There is no believe or not believe. There is only not knowing.
