I get that reference to, but worth noting that Sanders also has a daughter named Scarlett. |
"SHARE 2022 SmartAsset Study: States Most Dependent on the Federal Government Billions of dollars are at stake each year for individual states when lawmakers in Washington D.C. negotiate the following year’s federal budget. For 2023, President Biden is calling for a 7% increase in federal spending as part of his $5.8 trillion budget proposal. While this money will ultimately play a major role in how states fund themselves, some states are more reliant on federal dollars than others. For example, Wyoming gets over 56% of its revenue from federal sources, but only 27% of Hawaii’s revenue comes from the federal faucet. With this in mind, SmartAsset took a closer look at individual states to determine which ones are most dependent on the federal government. To do this, we analyzed and compared data across the following metrics: federal share of state government revenue, ratio of federal funding to income taxes paid, percentage of workers employed by the federal government and ratio of median earnings for federal workers to median earnings for private workers. For details on our data sources and how we put all the information together to create our final rankings, read the Data and Methodology section below. This is SmartAsset’s third annual study on the states most dependent on the federal government. Check out the 2021 version here. Key Findings Red states dominate the top 10. Eight of the 10 states most dependent on the federal government traditionally vote Republican. New Mexico (No. 2) is the only state in the top 10 to vote for the Democratic candidate in any of the last six presidential elections. Maine (No. 8), which splits its delegates, has voted for both Democrats and Republicans in the recent elections." https://smartasset.com/data-studies/states-most-dependent-on-the-federal-government-2022 |
And her looks match |
Look, Sarah's press Secy. Is chiming in ![]() |
Eh, my data is more recent and Arkansas isn’t in your SmartAsset’s top 10, either. |
Unfortunately the republicans in my family seem to have eaten it up, based on their social media posts. |
Republicans are a lost cause. They did not get enough independents in the mid terms and there is nothing to change that going forward at this point. |
Yeah that's the thing - SS's speech was aimed at red meat Republicans. It's not aimed at broadening the party's (or her) appeal to people who aren't already convinced that CRT is the number one more important issue facing ordinary Americans. |
Ah but they still find a way to win, and the more they win the more they do to keep tipping the balance in their favor. I am really dreading 2024, I just have a really bad feeling. |
Apparently, some RWNJ did not like her speech. Lou Dobbs is outraged that she didn't even mention Trump's name, her benefactor.

+1 “Republicans are extremely skilled at grabbing attention, leveraging their formidable media apparatus to turn the spotlight on the manufactured controversy of the moment. But these days they are far less good at persuading the broader public.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/02/08/sarah-huckabee-sanders-sotu-response-biden-woke-ron-desantis/ |
Trump? She's a nepo baby but not because of trump. |
What's your point, half of republicans get off on insulting the looks of the lovely and accomplished Michelle Obama. "Some people" believe the earth is flat and the sun orbits around the earth too. |
Well, the point is that when people call Sarah Huckabee Sanders "ugly" and "fat" and "disgusting," they should take time to realize that she is bloated by chemicals, has a glass eye, and has a heart parts of which come from a pig. That is all. |
