Hate protein shakes

OP you could also do Vital Proteins collagen powder in your coffee. It’s tasteless. 70 calories and you’ll start your day with 18 grams of protein.

It is not a complete protein source and not very helpful for muscle building as it is very low in leucine. Can be used to supplement but should not be used as one of the core protein sources.

The suggestion is to use it in place of protein shakes, which shouldn’t be your core source of protein either.

Vital Proteins unflavored collagen powder is truly flavorless. I even mix it with just water. Or put it in coffee, or sprinkle on oatmeal.

Two scoops gives you 18 grams of protein. I think that there is something about collagen that makes it not a "complete" protein but there are still benefits.

Oh sorry I posted without reading that someone else already mentioned this.

I find the Perfect Bar (peanut butter flavor, 330 calories, 17g protein) & vanilla Orgain shakes (250 calories, 16g protein) to be edible if a bit sweet (I hate sugar). I drink the shake right after strength training & have the bar for a snack or dessert later in the day. GL OP!

The OP is struggling to hit her protein and whey actually provides a complete source of protein with plenty of leucine so it is actually ok to use it to get what you can’t from food. Collagen is not the same. It should be used on top of your minimum protein requirement.
