It's pathetic that it's only 4.

That's 0.9% of the House Republicans that are black.

Blacks make up 14.6% of America. The Republicans need to put at least 28 more blacks into House seats to make their side of the House representative of what America actually looks like. But I guess that won't happen for as long as Republicans continue gerrymandering, disenfranchisng and otherwise screwing blacks over.

Here's your opportunity to fix some of that if you actually want any credibility.

Why do leftists only see color?

Not the comeback you think it is. We don't "only see color." But we do recognize the REALITY that America is an ethnically and culturally diverse nation, and we represent it as such - as opposed to the GOP, which is 99% homogenous white culture.

The question is, why don't Republicans represent the REAL America?

Don’t kid yourself that Democrats represent the ā€œrealā€ America either. The entire Democratic power structure from donors to lobbyists to staffers to consultants to PAC directors is white. Rare black tokens in places of visibility who answer to white people and everyone else Black acting as lowly foot soldiers do not representation make. Democrats look good on diversity only in comparison to Republicans. We have TWO white-dominated parties that exploit racial minorities, especially Black people, in this country.

This is untrue and typical conservative projection. Democrats go out of their way to give opportunities and put minorities in the positions of power. In the House, 25.3% of the House Democrats are black, which exceeds the paltry 0.9% of the Republicans, to even it out to 14.9% overall, which is in fact reflective of black population percentage in America.

Are you really representing the hard-earned wins of Black politicians as opportunities Democrats ā€œgaveā€ them?

Where does it say it was "given" to them? Nowhere. Of course they were hard fought and earned wins. But, the black candidates were also supported and embraced by Democrats, who also fought for voting rights and other things to help make their wins happen. Can't say the same for Republicans. Not. At. All. They'd just as soon strip blacks of their voting rights, and again, only 0.9% of House Republicans being black is a damn disgrace. There's no other way to slice it.

+100
Can you imagine a thread titled "Black Liberals," which proceeded to call them dumb and "in it for the grift"? Democrats are proving with each post to be the most racist of all. Why on earth wasn't this thread deleted from the get-go?

Well, it comes from the top down- "You ain't black.." as Biden once said

And how surprised Biden was that Obama was articulate, clean and well-dressed

Exactly. How soon the left forgets.

DP. Do you even hear yourself? When blacks *do* choose to be Republicans, you call them "tokens" and "stupid." Seems you really would prefer the GOP remain 99% white. The PP is right. You really do only see color.

I welcome any and all black people to the Republican party. It's pretty pathetic that their free will triggers you so.

Why did the guy nominating Donalds bring up Martin Luther King Jr. In his speech?

Why did Hank Johnson think Guam was going to capsize?

DP. You really do only see color. You're fixated on it - obsessed. Why should *any* party push to give someone a position due solely to the color of their skin? No thanks. You and your fellow Democrats can keep up that practice. Republicans will vote for the most qualified, every time, regardless of his or her skin color.

I don't know who you are, but this is a huge tiresome trope and seems to be all you can say. Get a new schtick please.

DP. If you don't like being called the leopards-eating-faces party then maybe you ought to change your ways and stop supporting and electing people that constantly make you come across that way. It's not us, it's you.

DP. Wow, the irony. It is, indeed, you. You repulse people and this thread is exhibit A.

Irony? Seems you don't understand the definition of irony. You're "repulsed" by people calling out how bad your party actually is?

For the last 20+ years your party has had no productive platform whatsoever. It's all been about disenfranchising/attacking/otherwise screwing over minorities, opposing any measure of progress for the sole sake of reactionary "own the libs" idiocy, trying to gut the social safety net, giving billionaires massive handouts while screwing over the working class, rolling back regulations that protect consumers, protect workers, protect the environment, and trying to gut revenue and cut programs and acting like we can operate as if it were 1780, which would make us a third-world nation by today's standards. That's the kind of leopards-eating-faces reality that you need to own up to and acknowledge, rather than clinging to your false denial and your performative acting "repulsed." Speaking the truth is somehow "ironic" or "repulsive?" No, again, it's not us, it's you.

We're talking about race here, you twit. Can you even focus? Please do specify how the GOP has "disenfranchised/attacked/otherwise screwed over minorities." And don't you dare try and use Georgia voting policies as some kind of gotcha - they're not. Delaware has stricter voting laws than Georgia - and we all know who's from Delaware, amirite?

And yes, you and your constant "leopard eating face" garbage are truly repulsive. I'd be embarrassed to have someone like you speaking for Democrats as a whole. But then, that's why people run from you. No mystery there.

You should be offended by the GOP's hugely lackluster support for conservative blacks.

WTF? This whole thread is about the animosity and sheer hatred Democrats have for conservative blacks. The GOP correctly treats black people like everyone else. Shocker!

Let’s try this again. Elected politicians =/= the mostly unelected power structure in the party. If you don’t understand that, then there’s no point talking further with you.

Oh, right. The REAL power, behind the politicians. Yeah, we know about elite donors - and know the ones who fund Republicans apparently don't like blacks, which is why the Republicans elect so few. The elected politicians are a reflection of the donors and power brokers, so it changes nothing about the argument. Or was the intelligent answer not enough, and you'd prefer something like "Elite baby eating cabal" or "The Jews" or "Illuminati" or "Shapeshifting alien reptoids" or whatever?

DP. Are you actually touting your posts as "intelligent answers"?

When the racists, who worship the confederacy, support the modern GOP, and the modern GOP doesn't condemn that support, then who are the racists?

Um, sorry - who, exactly, "worships the confederacy" in your fevered imagination? A tiny number of fringe wackos? Should we talk about the fringe wackos in your own party?

Bingo. Democrats very much like to think of themselves as "benefactors" of blacks. Without them (they think) blacks would have nothing, no successes to speak of. That mentality makes me want to vomit, and I'm a POC.

Funny that those "entertainers" trigger you while 99% of Hollywood and musical stars engage in performance art for Democrats. "But that's different!!!"
