Missing Princeton student found dead

This. My heart goes out to her family.

Nor is a young woman likely to drop dead of some mysterious catastrophic event like a heart attack or stroke. It just doesn't happen.

Also, a young 20-something-year-old woman is highly unlikely to just keel over and drop dead from cancer, while out for a midnight stroll.

I'm going to go with either a boyfriend/suitor who killed her, or she was hit by a car driven by a drunk driver, and subsequently tossed into a ditch. Or accidental alcohol poisoning, or drug OD, and her friends panicked and dumped her somewhere.

Homicide or accident.

Suicides on college campuses are actually up sharply in recent years. It is the number 1 cause of death for college students. 7% of students in college say they have seriously considered suicide.

There were a number of high-profile college student suicides in the Spring, especially among athletes, including a James Madison University softball player.

You sound incredibly ignorant. Maybe you should sit the rest of this discussion out.

The previous poster sounds intelligent, not ignorant. You sound ignorant and self-righteous. No one knows anything about this matter, yet you’ve held your views as the correct view and any non-conforming views are dismissed as ignorant. You are ignorant and you should sit out the discussion because you seem like a bully.

Still no answers in Misrach's death. Her brother stated that it was bizarre where she was found. For some reason, many here need to speculate without any evidence. Shame on you. This poor woman's family is grieving.

Quit with the self righteousness. Her family isn't reading this board and this type of speculation happens in these cases all the time.

What a weird comment. Who are you shaming? It sounds like you have some speculation about what happened as well. Why do you say there are still no answers? There seem to be some answers or at least suggestion of answers in what the prosecutors have said. Of course the family is grieving—their beloved daughter died.

Definitely foul play. Her phone pinged in a totally different location than where her body was found, which was in a secluded location, no cameras, accessible to only few and by car without being detected. Princeton doesn’t want safety issues publicized. See this video

Misrach was last seen brushing her teeth at ~3:00 am early Friday morning in her dorm suite at Scully Hall. Then approximately 48 hours (a full two days) later at ~3:30 am early Sunday morning her phone pinged a cell tower in West Windsor in the rough vicinity of Perna's Flower shop, a ~30 minute walk from Scully Hall.
Then later police bloodhounds who follow her scent to Lake Carnegie completely fail to discover her body in the woods near the maintenance buildings behind the tennis courts, also relatively close to Lake Carnegie. Many questions need to be answered.

It’s all super weird. Former Princeton undergrad here. Also it seems like her body must have been moved if it wasn’t discovered for so long. A lot of athletes specifically rowers stay on campus for double practices so walking past the tennis courts to the boathouse would have been happening.

PP - stay on campus even during fall break

You’re all pathetic, especially “former Princeton undergrad” who feels that that somehow vests her with authority. Stand down.

Also former Princeton grad (just to make the PP above angrier) I wouldn’t put it past the university to downplay safety concerns. Something is not right here.

And that makes Princeton different from any other school? They all think that way. And I’m not angry, I just think you’re pathetic.

NP and not a Princeton anything, but of course someone who actually went there for four years has some authority to discuss things like campus layout, locations, and well known campus practices like early-morning athletes' usual habits. Do you know anything about the campus or the surrounding area or the location where the body was found, PP? From first hand experience? I didn't think so. And yes, I'm taking it on trust that the person saying he or she went to the college actually did. Snark away if you want.

Hmm, two "pathetics" almost in a row, and both in posts blasting people who say they attended Princeton. Why so angry, PP? What's your actual beef here? It almost sounds as if you're defending Princeton. If you are, what's that all about if you didn't go there or have a kid there? If you had a kid attending the college I'd think you'd be very concerned about campus safety. But you just parrot "pathetic" with zero context about why.

If you don’t like this thread, then you are the one who should stand down. Find something else to police. You are not wanted here.
