As a guest, which do you prefer - gift or no gift parties?

People who bring gifts when expressly asked not to are the tacky ones. Geez.

Gift! If it's a no gift party and you actually don't bring a gift you run the risk of having everyone else have brought a gift anyway and then you didn't. It's just too much. Just have a regular party and don't say anything on the invite.

But who cares? Like why does this bother people? If the host asks for no gifts, they don't want gifts. No one is going to judge you for following directions.
