I wouldn't bet on that. The shift seems to be amongst Latinos with no college degree. The same educational polarization that has happened with white people is starting to happen with latinos.

Well the replacement theory that white people are being replaced is false. Latinos are actually being absorbed into "white" just like Slavs, Irish, Poles, Italians in the past which will keep a white majority in the country.

This is EXACTLY why I have left the R party. I am a conservative but the R party has become a racist party and I am not a racist. I am done. I voted for Biden. If R wants to win people back, it will have to be filled with decent human beings because these are role models for my children and I will not raise my children in that manner. We are supposed to be setting examples. On January 6, I turned in my R card. I was fine with the Tea Party. I was fine with Trump (in 2016). But I was not fine with the 4 years of increasing racism. I do not think that all Rs are bad, nor do I even think that all of Trump's policies were bad but I will not associate myself or my family with racists.

I think the difference between the two parties is that Dems would shut down any racist rhetoric, especially regarding immigrants. Rs, not so much. They embrace it as a battle cry now.

Not every R are loons, but they seem to keep voting in the loons every election cycle, and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

I am old enough to remember when the R leadership would stomp down all racist rhetoric, and no outright racist would ever win a national election. Not so anymore.

Its ridiculous to argue about the relative merits of one mass murderer vs another. We dont have to be on the side of people waving Nazi flags and storming the Capitol, or the side of the people burning down buildings and advocating for the overthrow of capitalism. The fact that normal people now think you have to argue in favor of one extremist cause or another is shameful. No, normal republicans are not white supremacists and they have no intention to start a civil war.
