Taycan E-tron GT i4 m50 Heck, even the eMustang |
For range + charging network + cost it is hard to beat Model 3 and Model Y. Give it a few years and others will catch up. |
I think we can probably just move on from this, not sure the dads of upper NW D.C. really need anyone to come to our defense, no matter what car we drive. |
| I drive an inexpensive model 3. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Never needs gas or oil change. Super fun to drive. Elon is truly a genius. |
This. By the time you pee & get a drink, the car is charged. Not a big deal at all. |
I do like the e-tron GT but the other ones are lame/fug (who buys a 4-door Porsche?). The range doesn’t come close to the Tesla though (238 v 396). Plus, the Tesla charging network is expansive. Tons of great features. Fun to drive. I’ll happily buy another EV when they’ve caught up. Looking at you, Audi. But for now I’m stuck with ugly Tesla and DB Musk. |
| What are you going to do with the battery when it's done? |
Recycle it?

If you really strongly dislike Teslas and/or Musk, I'm not sure I'd let the difference in range or charging network deter you from another make. If you're able to charge at home, the range and the charging network will only be an issue when you're taking a road trip, because it's pretty unlikely you'll be driving more than 230 miles in a day otherwise, so you can just charge at home at night regardless of how much range you have left. For us, this is an issue infrequently enough (maybe once every two months or so) that having to charge two or three times on a round trip isn't that much more of a hassle than charging once or twice. |
We drive up and down 95 regularly. And I hate stopping. Range is important to me. |
