One of my friends from SFS went there in the 90s.

Well if your senior said…

The best private schools? Funny, I went to one of the top boarding schools in New England--way above of the league of the so-called "best" private schools in this area--and UVM was always a draw.

+1 UVM has always drawn from the top preppy schools.

People in the DC area think the private high schools they send their kids to are the best of the best. They aren't even on the radar in the world of the NE prep schools. But try they will.

It depends how you think about it, I think. For instance, there's almost always at least one kid going to UVM each from Phillips (Andover) and Phillips Exeter. But it's usually just one or two, so it's not one of the "usual suspects" like Penn, Columbia or NYU where 10-30 kids might be going.

For what it's worth, UVM has been targeting this area. This year, there are 80 kids in the class of '26 from the DMV.

It is Andover mom! We know. We know. You are from NYC, went to Andover, you are Jewish but went to Georgetown, etc. Why do you insist on talking about Andover weekly??

So far? They haven't even released the RD acceptances.
