What are the details on this? Are the top girls all leaving for Pride? |
Here is the breakdown from posts last year on the makeup of CLC B. I’m hearing CLC blue ‘ 25 has approx 10 Pride, 8 stars, and 4 from other programs. For Capital Blue 2025, I know 10 Pride Red, 1 Pride White and 2 Pride Loudoun plus a VA Metro. So the White, Loudoun and VML players are your 4 others. Including the White and Loudoun Pride girls it appears 13 girls on CLC B are from Pride. |

| What's the success of getting recruited from Capital Orange to a D1 program? What's the best/highest D1 offers for this team (ie any Ivies, ACC)? |
Does Pride 27 have any weak spots where they could use better players? Is there an opportunity for a decent girl from stars or another team to make Pride or is the roster pretty locked in for next year? |
I agree with 3-4. 2 middies, their best goalie and maybe one of their low defense. |
Stars 26 has always been good, but they took it to next level this year when 3 or 4 of the top Pride players joined this summer. Stars 28 is currently challenged. Will likely go 1-7 in NGLL. In terms of DMV, both Pride and Next Level are better teams |
Pride's bench could definitely be better and while all of their starters are talented, they could use some more speed and athleticism to really compete. That said, I'm sure sure I'd recommend changing clubs to sit on the Pride bench for 8th grade. |
Five is probably high. X factor is how many BLC and CavLax girls also tryout. There could be some Pride starters who don't make Capital Blue. |
Pride 28 is in the same boat. Let’s wait until we see results from this weekend before making this claim |
If the player/parents don't care about strong academics or a particularly good lax program, an Orange player will likely get recruited D1 if she wants. Unless the player has someone like a Kathy Jenkins going to bat for her, Orange players can forget Ivies or ACC. Girls on Blue want those schools too and the Club/recruiting director always prioritizes the girls on Blue. |
You should try harder not to be so obvious. You still have to share the sidelines with the other parents. |
I would not dispute that there are only a couple of girls who could make the Capital blue team but the breakdown above is not accurate. One middle and one defender. |
Depends on how good you are and how you can impress once you get on-campus at camps and prospect days. I understand the intent of your question, but it is really the wrong question to ask. there are very few girls who Capital Orange who go to top 25 or Ivies, but there are many girls who got cut from Capital Blue who went there with another club. I can name a few who went to Integrity, MDU and TLC and even YJ South and went on to play at top programs. |
