Why did you choose private over your WTOP elementary…..

Because the independent school we picked was better in every respect. On some points the differential was a chasm whereas the gap was much smaller in other areas. We reassessed at MS and again at high school (for SWW, not Wilson).

Also because we value education above a gigantic addition with an open floor plan and an Audi Q7

My neighbors who did 2 additions within 5 years both and drive luxury cars send their children to private. Sorry you think only public school parents do that.

I’ve done both public and private and nicer cars at private for sure. You are just simply stupid.

I'm simply stupid because you believe your n=1 anecdote negates my 20 year experience living inbound for Murch and engaging with my neighbors who send their kids to DCPS? Okay.

NP. You don’t seem to like your neighbors much.

Yes, you are simply stupid as you said. Your 20 years living inbound for Murch will never mean that public school parents don’t put additions on their houses or drive Audi Q7’s. I didn’t even know there was something called an Audi Q7 and my child attends private.
Keep reaching on thinking public school parents are immune to nicer things. Stupid idiot.

Is it conservative for a school to encourage:

--Honoring your mother and your father
--Having children within marriage
--The value of hard work and living below your means
--Personal responsibility
--Self discipline
--Individualism and you control your own destiny in America

I guess radicals would say it is a "code word" or something.

So what do the initials stand for?
Anonymous
I believe it's a typo and should be WOTP--West Of The Park.

West of the Park (Rock Creek Park)

Basically the highly rated, mostly white elementary schools:

Janney, Key, Lafayette, Murch, Mann, Stoddert, Eaton…. I feel like I’m missing one. Oh, Hearst.
Hyde is the wild card in Georgetown because it has a lot of OOB kids but still very white.

It's a school in a glass-encased nerve center.

Ha, I was confused by WTOP on this thread as well, and actually thought maybe it was anywhere where you can get a good radio signal on 103.5 FM (a way of saying "the greater DC area" basically).

Ha! That is what I thought so I asked earlier above what those initials stood for.

I'll make sure to tell all my friends whose kids went to Ivies and other top 20 colleges from Wilson that they don't value education.
