Probably a SC liberal law clerk for sure. To stir up trouble and get judges threatened. |
| How many states have reproductive rights protected in law? |
Informed speculation on Twitter was a sotomayor clerk |
| Rampant anti catholic bigotry on this thread. |
I'm Catholic. I guess I 'should be' happy about this. But instead - I keep thinking about the women who have terminated wanted pregnancies, the women who have had to get abortions bc of lack of access to birth control...I guess I just wish the church would recognize that not everyone who gets an abortion is doing so because 'lol oops don't want a baby'. I personally can't see myself getting an abortion and I pray it is a choice I never have to make. It would not be my choice but I guess I'm a horrible Catholic because I don't really think it's my place to decide for others. |
You do know that abortion will go to the states. It's not being outlawed |
You are no better than a rapist. Forcing yourself on a woman’s body against her will. |
Maybe conservativethat could not contain his glee over getting control over this issue. |
| Women and girls aren’t safe in this country. Republicans, and their voters, treat them as second class citizens and a vessel for a fetus. Forced birthers want them to have an unwanted “thing” or monster (it WILL NOT be considered a baby), grow and move inside their bodies just as their rapist did. I’ll do my part to help these women and girls. I ask caring people to do the same. |
The leaked opinion specifically criticizes Lawrence and Obergefell, so yes, those rights are at risk. |
Sotomayor said in December that it would be terrible for the Court to overturn Roe. While some conservatives believe that they deserve this, they are not rulers, they are not more legitimate than the entire populace. This (potential) decision is both overtly political and dumb. Stupid. |
There is no constitutional right to abortion. It should be a state decision. |
I am catholic. They have been carrying on about this for many years adnaseum. |
nope |
