I think it's shady to brag about working for a million dollar nonprofit but not say it's a church with a history of bigotry.

I would not vote for candidates who think CRT is being taught in schools or have zero experience in education. Fryar's idea of education is to have kids read Dog man books and make a cartoon about it.

Do you have kids in MCPS? What grades?

My MS kid read Stamped by Kendi last year in Virtual learning. Would you consider Kendi to be an example of CRT?

Liberals are very bigoted.
We are just bigoted against different groups than conservatives are.

My liberal neighbors are the MOST bigoted, for sure.

I'm not against religion but an not going to vote for someone who believes in magical fairytales. We need a candidate with a firm grip on reality.

In other words, you’ll only vote for atheists. Not Buddhist, Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus.

I'd make an exception for people of the spaghetti monster faith. It seems better rooted in reality.

LOL. Did you vote for Biden?

Heck, in a pinch I could vote for Dawn just to keep the CO honest.

Not keen on ultra conservatives, but the fact Wells can audit the MCPS books is appealing to me.

The smear campaign here against Fryar Dawn Wells just convinces me how afraid status quo is of having their rocks flipped.

Nope. I don't support the current BOE. However, that's not going to convince me to ever vote for a nutjob like Dawn. Maybe do some research before just assuming things. People like you (not doing any research) are how we get into messes with candidates.

I mean she has the unwavering support of the worst of the worst, Bethany Mandel… that is all you need to know about Dawn and her “slate mates.”

Bethany homeschools her kids because she can't afford Jewish private school. So I don't know why she is so obsessed with school board elections

Wow. I don’t know either of the above names individuals. But I think it is beyond gross that you are publicly shaming them, while you yourself remain anonymous. And calling out someone’s religious faith while posting her full name - again, while you remain anonymous? That is incredibly inappropriate and cowardly.

She’s a public figure. Fair game.

She even has a blue check next to her name on Twitter (@bethanyshondark) . Definitely a public figure. Definitely an outspoken conservative. Definitely a supporter of Wells, Fryar, and Dawn.

I mean she's also a newspaper columnist, she's unquestionably a public figure. The fact that the PP doesn't know who she is was a maybe a sign for them to take a moment to see who people were talking about before commenting, but I guess not.

All Presidents wrap themselves in the flag while grasping for the bible even Trump, but I'm pretty sure he'd burst into flames if he ever walked into a church.

Wasn’t referring to his religion. More his mental state. Not always sure about his ‘firm grip on reality’.

Nah, that PP is solidly anti-Christian. So many ‘progressive liberals’ are clearly anti-Christian but are willing to accept other religions. Though I have noticed some are also disturbingly anti-Semitic.

Very few atheist politicians, so I guess that PP is either lying or never votes.

Lol, one is a public figure and the other is running for BOE. They put themselves in these positions. Maybe do some research first. You look incredibly ignorant.

I’m just a frustrated MCPS parent who wastes too much time on this site. Sadly, nobody has ever paid me to post. I do find the hypocrisy of my ‘liberal’ neighbors puzzling and disturbing.

Public figures or not, it’s gross.

The PP is talking about how she ‘can’t afford a Jewish private school’. How does the PP know that?

The OP started this entire thread to launch a smear campaign against Wells, accusing her of homophobia when there is ZERO evidence of that. Not a single shred of evidence has been posted to support the OP’s claim.

All the while, the OP and the PP remain anonymous. Slinging accusations and making disparaging comments against other moms, without supporting evidence is not a good look. Clearly you disagree, and clearly it’s acceptable, so go on with it if you’re comfortable with your approach.
