Please list everything you make with ground beef

Shepard s pie - basically ground beef, garlic, onion, Worcestershire, diced carrots, peas topped with mashed potatoes.

Beef hand pies, ground beef, onions, garlic etc in puff pastry shaped like half moon pies.

Italian rice balls, combine cooked ground beef with garlic and Italian seasoning and cooked rice, roll in combo or breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan, fry in olive oil, serve with marinara sauce on the side

I don’t like this but it’s kid friendly. Mix cooked ground beef into Mac and cheese made with sharp cheddar cheese.

Talerine - ground beef with onions, peppers, corn, tomatoes, black olives, tomato sauce, garlic powder/salt/pepper, egg noodles and some cheese. A very Midwestern casserole and very yummy if you like that kind of thing.

Cool story. Guess what? You don’t need to answer this thread because it is irrelevant to you!

Shepherd's pie is made with lamb; cottage pie is made with ground beef. I'm not a lamb fan, so usually make cottage pie. Here's a great recipe that uses mashed cauliflower instead of mashed potato to top it. I try to eat low carb so it works for me:

http://meljoulwan.com/2010/12/28/paleo-comfort-food-cottage-flower-pie/

I like Mel Joulwan's cookbooks because she'll have 15 different flavor combos to use with ground beef to make burgers, meatballs, etc. Her site has some of the recipes so worth searching for burgers if you're not into buying a new cookbook.

Did someone already say frittatas? Either skillet version or mini muffin version.

E.g., https://nomnompaleo.com/post/3717320625/cheesy-n-beefy-mini-frittata-muffins (another good site to search for ground beef recipes).

Persian Kotlet
Shepherd’s pie
Bulgogi
Stuffed cabbage
Dolma

Hamburgers
Chili (though I often make veggie chili these days)
Keema mattar (though I prefer ground lamb when that’s readily available).

Grew up with ground beef as the default protein. Now I think that, with the notable exception of hamburgers, I wouldn’t miss it if it disappeared.

In addition to all the things that have been said, I use it for this korean beef bowl recipe, which is really good and super easy:

What? No. That's not right.

Obviously PP means a quick bastardized version of stroganoff. Like when I use ground beef to make “bulgogi”

+1 both appeal more to kids.

Maybe your kids.

What appeals to my kids, when they get home hungry from a long day, is food that's ready in 20 minutes. Doesn't matter if it's culturally authentic. If it's yummy and fast, and the wrong cut of beef? Yeah, they don't care a bit.

I went specifically looking for this thread because I have 3 lbs of ground beef and little else.

This thread delivered many ideas that I could make from the contents of the kitchen.

Thanks!
