LOL

In all seriousness, ND has done the best job of making things as normal as possible for the students. The mask mandate is only in effect until 90% of student body receive their boosters. They don't seem to be surveillance testing vaccinated students either -- just unvaccinated on a weekly basis. This is smart as surveillance testing during Omicron is a recipe for unnecessary disruption for what now amounts to a little cold. Are they surveillance testing for flu? Of course not.

CU Boulder remote the first two weeks until January 24th. DD is upset, worried it will last longer.

Vanderbilt (in the South!)

U of Chicago is starting a week late, and then the first two weeks will be remote.

I work at a university in the south, and four of my colleagues have tested positive for COVID in the last two days. Many universities are not going to have support staff to work the first week or two unless they go remote.

Do you read the news? Everyone who's getting covid is vaccinated. I have my vaccines, and I got covid. So, no, it's not going to end when everyone gets their vaccines. You don't know when it will end.

This is idiotic!! Completely moronic!!

Everyone I know who has contracted covid (mostly young people, under 30) is fully vaccinated, some are boosted, and everyone got infected with covid despite that. Omicron evades vaccines and boosters. It's going to infect everyone eventually.

Wear masks!! That's the answer until omicron runs through the population and ends this pandemic.
