Northwestern University sent out an email today that the first two weeks of January will be remote only. OMG will this every end? Would have been nice if they had announced that decision prior to everyone paying top dollar to travel on January 2nd.
Have any other schools announced going remote? |
| It will end as soon as everyone gets their vaccines. |
| What is the point of this? So coming back two weeks later will do what, exactly? So stupid. |
| The idea is that students would be back on campus and be isolating for two weeks. |
Vaccine doesn’t stop transmission. Will the school keep in person learning if case number increases but no hospitalization after two weeks? I onder why media don’t want to tell the truth that Vaccine doesn’t stop covid transmission |
No one is going to be "isolating" on a college campus.
|
But the lack of in-person classes/extracurriculars will definitely help curb the spread. Socializing in dorms (hallways, etc) are much less dangerous than lecture halls, classrooms, etc. |
So ridiculous. People are going to get sick - whether Covid or flu or colds. We never closed schools for the flu and we shouldn't be doing it now. |
Are there even classes the first two weeks of January? |
Almost everyone here has so you need a new talking point. |
Yes classes start on January 3rd. My DD is a JR and is really tired of remote classes. I feel bad for her. Northwestern U requires vaccination and is now requiring boosters. |
