She doesn’t need to go, especially with unvaccinated kids and Case counts going up. Don’t forget that this is a very busy travel time and OPs parents will be running around most likely not taking precautions. Wait until Omicron burns through.

I’ll add that if your in laws are vaccination spend time with them. This got several relatives in Trump land vaccinated in our family. They couldn’t stand seeing the Facebook posts of their vaccinated relatives doing things with their grandchildren. The granny competition has probably saved a lot of lives.
