Yes, I could've googled (thanks for posters that pointed out the obvious. ) but we ask questions back in forth in threads all the time, I guess technically anything that's ever asked in a thread could be done by google instead. I didn't mean to spark a nerve with anyone and I certainly don't consider myself to be ignorant. I remember learning of her story when she won the noble peace prize. I guess I didn't remember her name and the picture posted did not look familiar to me. I probably heard about this on a news podcast.

Anyway, congrats to the happy couple. They look great!

I feel like anyone would be out of her league. She's that revered in my head/in my home. I just adore everything about her!! Similar to other PP, I had my daughter do a book report on her years ago, and we still talk about her and her bravery and what she gave in terms of her stance on education and how important it was/is to her. I can't say enough about her and I'm so so so happy that she's thriving and found someone SHE feels is worthy of her!!!

She's smiling is the OP's photos. Not a big open mouth toothy smile, because you know, she was shot in the head. But she's smiling. If you've ever seen photos or video of Malala, you know that that's how she smiles according to her abilities.

She's smiling is the OP's photos. Not a big open mouth toothy smile, because you know, she was shot in the head. But she's smiling. If you've ever seen photos or video of Malala, you know that that's how she smiles according to her abilities.

She looks like the cat who swallowed the canary in the photo of her in blue. So yeah she looks pretty happy!

This thread inspired me to reread her story. Wow, the Taliban really did target her for a cold-blooded assassination. That's intense. A 12 year old.
