This is false. A quick google search will debunk that, but I think this may be a cultural choice, not all cultures value big goofy smiles in wedding photos, especially for women, they are supposed to look serious as it is a serious occasion.

I did a google search. I scrolled through more than a hundred photos and she's not making an obvious smile in any of them.
