They applied.

So the thread should be titled, “VYS applied for ECNL”

No someone said "make believe". I said they applied. So it's not make believe.

VYS did not apply to ECNL.

The situation where this is plausible is if the league is DC area only, which is what it really should be. Particularly at the lower age levels, there is ZERO NEED for 95% of the kids playing ECNL to travel to South Carolina to play competitive soccer. There are dozens, maybe hundreds, of kids who are at elite level in the DC area. Adding Vienna to the mix makes sense from that regard. But it also takes away from the national league concept of ECNL because they won't be pooling the best of the best like teams in Chicago, Charlotte, Tampa, and other areas are doing. Nobody ever got better playing soccer in a car.

Not good enough now. But once in, they'll able to retain the players that leave for ECNL clubs, they will be.
Unless parents like driving to VDA or Arlington.

When will they find out yes or no? Don’t the other ECNL clubs in the area have to agree to let them in? I would think geographically it makes more sense to add Beach FC.

By the time you cut across Vienna traffic, you could almost be in Arlington. Don't laugh at some of the neighboring club options until you've actually timed out the practice runs. In alot of cases, it's 5 or so minutes more. And, if my kid has a chance to play in an established system, I'm taking the safe route. Also, many ECNL clubs have former pro players on staff. Vienna has nothing close.

Vienna is not getting ECNL, they are not even competitive in ECNL-R.

Arlington doing terrible in ECNL at the older ages despite their former Canadian NT ECNL director. Do your HW. They should go back to GA and continue winning against Metro and losing to FCV.

4 pages of make believe. When’s tea time?

That's because she doesn't know how to coach in the attacking half

Yeah, maybe. But do not forget this industry is bloated. Parents are forking out a kidney for hopes of a new Messi and meanwhile I’m cashing in big time despite the fact that I would not amount to crap outside of “the beautiful game”. Haha

ECNL does not select clubs based on the willingness of the parents to pay.

I don't think Arlington is an attractive option for kids who learn how to play properly at younger ages. So nope. Pass. And pro players on staff? WGAF?

Vys has done well with nothing while the bigger clubs with large player pools have mediocre results and need to merge. Please share why that is.

...all this talk about retaining players. How many boys currently play on 08, 07, 06, 05, 04 ECNL teams that played with Vienna U9-U12? Maybe 1 or 2 Max per age group. Maybe none in same age groups. Any age groups with more than 2? Good luck in competing with one ECNL level player per age group.
